Around the house there is a horse/donkey farm so it was really nice surprise for our small daughter. Shopping in Maishofen and lake in Zell am See is within walking distance. For skiing we took a car, there is 10 minutes away skiing area in Zell am See or Saalbach.

We stayed 3 nights in a family suite which has the best view in the whole hotel. I would say the owner was very helpful. We did get a discount book from a hotel. With that book we got some nice discounts for the tickets in the main attraction in Zell am see.

We also enjoyed that it was not a Hotel Business it was a holiday on a farm style easy and relaxed. I traveled with my parents in the 80s and they loved the atmosphere from the castle as well as the one from the farm side with fresh eggs and local food.
