Nice hotel in the center of Kufstein. The stuff was very friendly. The room was good. Parking is just in the basement. Breakfast is very rich. We'll come again.
The "Goldener Löwe" (“Golden Lion”) is located in the center of Kufstein, directly opposite the fortress, the symbol of the town, and only a few minutes’ walk from the train station.

We got upgraded to a nice room on the 3rd floor with nice views of the fortress.. The room was Basic but comfortable.
There was a refrigerator and kettle to boil water.
The bathroom was a good size .
The restaurant associated with the hotel was amazing 👏🏽! Loved the food, and special shout out to Annalisa who was very sweet and took good care of us.

At 09:00 🕘 pm we had a drink on the pitch dark terrace of this ****hotel. At 10:00 pm 🕙 total blackout outside. Room is sober, wall to wall carpet with stains, mini bar missing, curtains torn, mirror in bathroom missing, box for tissues on the floor, aso. The WiFi system was the worst I ever experienced. Not professional.

I like the atmosphere of the old town and the town's central location for cheap day trips to Innsbruck, Salzburg, Munich and even South Tyrol (Italy). It's also a good starting point for hiking and climbing in the surrounding mountains.

The city is quite small but has lots of activities to explore. My favourite one was going up with the Kaiserlift and doing some hiking up the mountains. Up there you can also find some nice cafes/restaurants to have a nice break and continue with exploring the nice outdoors. The city itself is quite nice and one could walk all around it in one day or so. The public swimming pools are also quite nice if you go with family and friends to enjoy a bit the weather.

Beautiful city.
Beautiful city. Although there are no ski lifts in Kufstein, there are good transport links to nearby skiing areas. The local buses to ski areas are free for skiers/snowboarders, but this is not widely advertised and it appeared that not all bus drivers are aware of this either, as on our first ski outing to Thiersee we paid for the bus fare despite wearing ski clothes and carrying skis and snowboard.

I visited Kufstein briefly on a day trip 2 years ago and I vowed to return for a longer visit. I only stayed 2 nights and this was too short. It is so beautiful, the castle fortress is wonderful and there are lovely shops in the town.

Nice, quiet little city. Very good starting point to hiking.
Nice, quiet little city. Very good starting point to hiking. If you want to go nearest city - Salzburg,Innsbruck,München - then easily access with train, about 1 hour. If you want go Salzburg buying the Bayern ticket - cheapest train price.
It was a great experience. You have to hike up the mountain to get to the hotel and then 10 more minutes to reach the chalet. It is a great location with beautiful sunrise and sunset. We were able to fire up the oven and to store some food in the fridge. You can also use the sauna or book it all for your self. We loved it there. Of cause it is a bit more for the wallet at the end you had no one around you which made it worth it. Great to get away from everything and everyone. :)
The whole stay in Alpenrose in Kufstein was amazing! The facility, room as well as upgrade because of an accessibility for a disabled person was excellent. This is how accomodation and services should look like, it was truly exceptional. The breakfast was amazing with a great selection of food. The staff was helpful and very friendly.
We had a lovely stay -- the hotel staff was very welcoming and the breakfast was wonderful! Traveling with our 3 teenagers is not easy in terms of space, but the room combination we had here was perfect. Our room was spotless. It was also in a great location, easy to walk to anywhere we needed. Would definitely stay again!
Th location of this hotel is very central in Kufstein. Our room was facing a quiet street and the sun streamed into it. Both breakfast and dinner were good and plentiful. The waitresses in their dirndl went out their way to explain the various dishes and suggesting alternatives if we felt they were not to our liking.
This is a wonderful hotel in the center of Kufstein, very friendly and helpful staff, both ladies at the reception where really friendly, well informed and always had a smile. The same at breakfast service, the staff was exceptional.
A hidden gem in my view, real value for money and a very comfortable hotel.
This is a fantastic little "automated" hotel located right in the center of Kufstein, next to a bakery and a supermarket too so no big deal that they don't have breakfast. Super clean and well-equipped rooms and common area. This hotel was honestly a delight to stay in, I wish they had branches in every city.
I could store my bike in the ski room. Be sure to take the left elevator, that one is bigger and will fit your bike.
The hotel is located in the city center. Several restaurants shops and a supermarket are in walking distance.
The castle and river are just around the corner. Very nice for a quick walk
Friendly and personal reception at the front desk. Immaculate condition of the 1 year old hotel. The original house was there sind the 13 hundreds! Oldest house in town right in the middle of the old city center. 5 min walk to the fortified castle on top the rocks.
Great location and friendly staff. Decent breakfast buffet. You get a tourist card when you stay at this hotel which has a fair number of amenities. I only stayed one night but was able to visit the castle for free (a 14 Euro value) with this card.
I travel regularly from Vienna to Switzerland. It was a pure coincidence to stop in Kufstein and it was a nice surprise. The hotel is close to the centre and the staff was very nice. They offer a great breakfast.
It was a place to sleep and have a (very basic) breakfast. The "you get what you pay for" saying does not seem to apply here, much less serviced than what you'd expect from a place that uses the term "hotel."
The description of the hotel is accurate. Rooms are spacious and downtown is a short walking distance down to the river. The breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful. The wifi signal was strong.
The quiet, comfortable and uniquely original tower suite in which we stayed.
The very good traditional Austrian cooking, and the equally good and extensive wine list, in the hotel's restaurant.
Spacious bathroom. Nice comfort bed. Large windows looking directly on the river in the little forest. Parking in front of the object. Big sign of the hotel wich is near the road. Easy to find.
There was no staff but apart from the check in yourself; we liked this place just fine. In Europe 3 weeks, stayed at 11 different hotels we rate this one number 1.
The hotel and the staff were top notch. Professional and friendly. Elegant but very relaxed. The breakfast was spectacular. The rooftop sitting area was a delight.
