We had a car from Salzburg, and it took about 80 minutes to drive to Kitzbühel. We went there for skiing and we were not disappointed. The ski lift is about a 5–10 minute walk from the hotel. The town itself is lovely, old buildings coupled with modern shopping. There's plenty of choices for restaurants and bars. We mainly ate at our restaurant, but there are other places to eat. It's a nice place to walk around, although some of the roads do not have footpaths. We would definitely come here again.

A pretty town with a Christmas market from 1 December.
A pretty town with a Christmas market from 1 December. It seemed like we were a bit pre season so some shops/bars/cafes not open yet.
Easy to navigate and hilly as you’d expect and get to by train from Innsbruk. Locals all very good English speaking and English menus - puts us to shame. Food at the top of cable car was good,

Kitzbühel - yes, there are better ski areas.
Kitzbühel - yes, there are better ski areas. Yes, I believe there are better resorts for apres-ski but as an all round, friendly, traditional, fun resort there is no better. Over 80 experiences of the town in summer and winter has given me a bit of a head start on first timers - you will not be disappointed.

While this town is best known for alpine skiing (the world-...
While this town is best known for alpine skiing (the world-famous Hahnenkammrennen downhill takes place here) it is equally awesome in the summer! The town is alive and has myriad activities to do, from hiking to cycling to simply hanging out at local restaurants, bars, and clubs. The cable car system can take you anywhere, and one of the best activities is to hike down the famous Streif alpine racing course (i.e. the Hahnenkamm), which takes about 2.5-3 hours. If you have time take a lunch break during the hike at the Seidelalm Hutte, where the food and drink are plentiful and the views perfect. In town there are many fabulous places to eat, drink, and shop. If you want the full Hahnenkamm experience make a late-night stop at The Londoner Pub, where the winner of the downhill ski race tends bar the evening after their victory (it's a lot less raucous in the summer but it's still a great place to go for a beer). The entire town is walkable - no car necessary - and frequent ÖBB train service makes this place accessible from major cities (e.g. Innsbruck, Salzburg, Vienna, Munich).

The ski resort is perfect for skiers.
The ski resort is perfect for skiers. However, I'm a snowboarder and have been in ones that are better. The snowparks are very small and on the side the mountains that have much less slopes. To cross to the bigger area you need to cross the river and town (about 15min walk).
We last stayed at the hotel in 2015. Since then the bar area and dining room have been refurbished. It is not an improvement.
The rooms, which have not been refurbished, are beginning to look a little tired, especially given the price point, but they are comfortable and adequate. The breakfast buffet and spa remain amazing and the views are stunning.
Whilst the hotel is a good 15 minute walk down the hill from the centre of Kitzbuhel and the ski lifts there is a convenient shuttle which works well. The quality of the food is excellent.
Great facility in the great location with very friendly and warm Staff. The facility close to Horn lift, Kitzbüheler center, not far from railway station and has a nice garden with fruit trees. The room was clean and breakfast was tasty. Thanks to Tamara and her Staff. We felt like at home. On the first day we got instructions and the local maps. On the last day we got packed breakfast because we were leaving early. We will definitely stay there again.
Everything! Especially our penthouse and the service. The location is great with a wonderful view towards Streif. The chalet is beautifully furnished and very convenient, every apartment has its own sauna which is great. The breakfast is one of the best we’ve had. And the staff is amazing, in particular a lady at the hotel restaurant. I’m so sorry I forgot her name but she took such care of our family, I don’t have enough words to thank her.
I loved the breakfast and the pool/sauna area. The breakfast was amazing, with a huge selection of food and drinks. Also the relax area with the pool and the sauna was top level, with different types of saunas. I loved the Finnish sauna with a view on the village of Kitzbühel. I really appreciated the fact that the sauna and pool area closed late in the evening.
This is an exceptional hotel. I have never rated anywhere 10 for every category before. Hotel Resch deserves everyone of them. Staff are outstanding, housekeeping is absolutely top drawer, Breakfast service would put many 5 star establishments to shame. Best of all everyone has a smile, Thank you for an outstanding stay.
One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. We came late and they still offered us a 3-course dinner. The receptionist and the head bar concierge were incredibly nice. They made us feel so welcomed that we've decided we will be going back (we usually don't stay at the same hotel twice).
We only stayed there for single night. We arrived 1 day earlier than our scheduled arrival date. The hotel offers free breakfast and car parking. The location is roughly 5-10 minutes walking to ski lift and market area. The owner gave us 20% voucher on ski equipment rental.
The Hotel is pretty much in the center of Town, Parking right at the front Door and I’m walking distance to the Lifts and Bars and Restaurants. The Hotel staff is extremely nice and helpful and the Breakfast included in the booking didn’t leave anything to wish for.
We really enjoyed the spending the last days of summer at Seebichl. Beautiful location, very good breakfast and very nice staff.
The hotel has a lovely atmosphere overall, with some great outdoor areas.
Thumbs up for the music choice as well.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. Overall, I had a great experience and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kitzbühl
The hotel is across the street from one of the lifts. If you’re lucky, the train may also drop you off there. Great breakfast and we also had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Beautiful town and ski area.
Very good breakfast served in a cosy location with a view over the mountains.
Clean room and nice staff.
Location is ok, with the car is easy to go in the city center of Kitzbuhel.
Hotel was in a great location, walking distance to gondola. Wonderful breakfast and dinner. Great helpful staff. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. It was a wonderful stay.
The breakfast always is the best part. Lots of choices and great quality.
The location of the hotel is exceptional. Two minutes of walking to the Hahnenkamm lift.
