Nothing much to do in Grödig, but it's perfectly situated for car travels to nearby nature attractions (and there are many within 30 min drive) and for visiting Salzburg by public transport. We made a family trip around Salzburg, but we do not like to stay in cities, so we stayed in this little village, which is just outside Salzburg. We have visited the Salt Mine in Hallein, which was wxcellent and the Untersberg, using the lift, with a very nice outlook to the area around.NorbertAustria

Bus from this hotel is brilliant as it’s at the end of the 21 bus route, to Salzburg it’s every 30 mins, sometimes every 20. We got bus to and from hotel for three days and great experience, pretty easy to find where to get it from in Salzburg on google maps - quite a few stops in the city for it. Hotel good no problems.

Family run by such welcoming people, it was a place we decided that we need to come back to. The rooms were traditional, comfortable and clean. Our room’s view out over the mountains all covered with snow was magical. We ate at the restaurant downstairs and the food was great. The manager was happy to supply vegan breakfast items to supplement the plentiful continental that was available. The evening meals were excellent and nicely presented. Located about 1/2 hour outside of Salzburg, the first night was a bit of an adventure getting there by bus but we got used to it and it was quite convenient.
