Perfect remote, private location.
Perfect remote, private location. A lot of attractions, towns, cities worth visiting are reachable by car from that location (e.g. Hallstatt, Obertraun, Salzburg). It‘s small but has everything you need for a few days vacation, grocery store and a few restaurants.

Beautiful location with lots to do, especially if you enjoy outdoor/adventure holidays: walking, hiking, biking and climbing etc. The views from the valley are beautiful though so also makes for a beautiful spot to relax with a good book. We will definitely be coming back!

We enjoyed the walking trail near our house.
We enjoyed the walking trail near our house. We also enjoyed trying to walk around the lake. It was pretty warm that day and I didn't get half way before my family said I probably needed to go back (age 81). Two of them made it all the way around but one daughter stayed with me. It was good advice to go back as I was pretty pooped by then. Two of them went up the gondola and two of us stayed behind. One of my daughters walked other various trails there and also went to the castle ruins. I loved looking at the beautiful mountains and everyone was mowing and making hay while we were there. Was interesting to see how different it was from the way we do it in America. Gosau and Hallstatt are two of my favorite places.

Gosau is a lovely place to stay.
Gosau is a lovely place to stay. The village is quite spread out, but this adds to the rural feel of village, which is very appealing. The residents are very friendly and helpful. The skiing is excellent. Gosau is well situated for short day trips to beautiful towns of Hallstatt and Bad Ishl. I could very easily live there full time. A charming place with incredible views from valley and whilst out skiing. Very good lift system out on mountains.

We loved Gosau.
We loved Gosau. Initially we wanted to stay in Hallstatt, but there were no available rooms for good price in any hotel there. So I checked the map for locations around and found Gosau. In the end it's so much better we've chosen Gosau as this place is so much more relaxed with not that many tourist. We'll definitely go back to this place if we are around. Highly recommended.AndorHungary

Kitchen has everthing you need from pots, plates, cutleries and even some condiments. 'Adeg' supermarket is 9 minutes away. 5-6 minutes from the bus stop. 15 minutes away from Hallstatt by bus. Basically, the apartment is in a hotel.Plenty of parking if coming by car. The owner,Felicia,is kind enough to let us check in early. We have a bit of problem but Felicia resolved it right away!

Near Gosauseen lake a great place to hike. It has a lovely restaurant and cafe. Check-in instructions where very flexible. Location was well-connected for walks in the woods and it was a quick drive to the Gosauseen and Hallstatt. We used the apartment as a place to recuperate from daily hikes. The windows were surprisingly good at keeping out the sounds of the incredibly loud church bells (that go off every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).

Even if you plan on visiting Hallstatt, i would reommend booking Ferienwohnung Dependance Faschl and just have a 10 minute drive to Hallstatt. In my opinion the view is way better in Gosau. They even have heated floors in the bathroom and you have everything you need. One of the best properties i've stayed in in my life.CristianRomania

It was very clean and had all the necessary utensils in the kitchen. Supermarket is walkable and the views are ultimate from all the balconies. You can take walks in the town or around mountains. Enough parking space as well since you might need a vehicle to reach Gosau.
