Beautiful small down town with typical Austrian arhitecture, murrals on amost eash builiding. We were in transit so one more days to explore the surronding would be great. Free downtown parking. The lady in info center were more than helpful and nice, she even opened the already locked info center door to give us brochures. We didn't have time so visit mini burg in very center, have seen it from outside only.

Golling was the perfect place to stay!
Golling was the perfect place to stay! They had everything we needed for our large group of 6 adults. Only minus is that we didn't have enough time to truly enjoy spending time in the house! We loved the comfortable decor and the charming town the most. The waterfall nearby was absolutely beautiful and the downtown area was very cute with lovely cafes and high end restaurants! The grocery store is only a few minutes drive away, and it had everything we needed. We traveled to Salzburg and Munich while we stayed here and thought it was a nice hub for our travels. SO many places and sites to see nearby as well!

We stopped here on a driving holiday travelling back to the UK from Croatia. This market town is really nice, some lovely shops, a good mix of tourist, good quality clothing, food and drink and curiosity shops. There are a good selection of restaurants to cater for all tastes. We didn't have a great deal of time here but would certainly revisit if travelling this way again.

Golling is located between Salzburg and Werfen.
Golling is located between Salzburg and Werfen. Both are easily accessible on the S Bahn and your free guest card gets you to Salzburg for free. Visit Werfen for a superb Where Eagles Dare castle tour and falconry show. Plenty of good restaurants in Golling.

A really gorgeous town with river, mountains, waterfall and so on. Easy to reach Salzburg and the lakes. There is a direct exit to Golling from the highway A10. Take care: the local roads are closed sometimes so only the residents are allowed the use them. So detours can take hours in the mountains. You can also reach Salzburg by train. The Eagle's Nest at Berchtesgaden and the Königsee is also very close.

Golling is beautiful and a great location either as an overnight stop or just a home base to hike around the area and explore nature.
However, keep in mind it is very quite, few people, there are barely good restaurants and it is really meant more for relaxation.

It's quite an old hotel in a very nice little town. The view is great and it's located right across an small old medieval castle, which you can visit. We stayed there just the one night on the way through to Italy, so that's perfect if for a short stay. Staff was friendly, and very Austrian :) So don't expect that fake American 'hospitality'. I'm dutch , so I thought the staff was pretty ok , seeing it;s a small mountain village with ~5k inhabitants.
This hotel is a hidden gem! The hotel itself is wonderful-modern and spotless rooms. The breakfast buffet far exceeded our expectations for the nominal fee. The staff were all so nice, helpful and great with our kids. They went above and beyond to make it a great stay. A short drive to Salzburg, but plenty to do in the charming small town of Golling. Would absolutely come back here again.
Clean, cosy and comfy. Breakfast is included, beds are comfortable, bathroom is modern. A balcony and a clean mountain air is an additional bonus. An elevator to bring the luggage to the room is very helpful.
We only stayed overnight and didn’t expect anything special but we loved the room and can definetely recommend this hotel!
Peaceful place to camp. Not far from Salzburg. It is true that there is only two toilets and a shower for men and the same for women but we personally didn’t find we had to wait long ever. Wasn’t really possible to access electricity from the field where most people camp in tents as it is located where the camper vans are.
The hotel staff was wonderful in helping us and the Breakfast was great. The staff offered assistances with anything we needed every morning. Location was close to all the sight seeing locations in the area. the hotel is in a small town and very quiet and convenient shops and restaurants.
Nice B&B, good location in a small town, close to the beautiful Golling waterfall (and possibly to Salzburg as it is reachable by train). The room was pretty spacious, clean, breakfast was tasty.
We appreciated the self check-in, so that we didnt have to rush driving with a baby.
Everything was exceptionally warm, beautiful and original. The breakfast was delicious and the host extremely gentle. The room and the entire facility was done with class and taste. Extremely clean. A feeling as if you are home but with the cleanliness of a 5 star hotel
The person at the reception (presumely the owner) was very kind and even spoke French. Even at 11.30PM the doors were still open and there was someone at the reception. It felt like a cosy hotel. Enough parking for guests. We also had a terrace with a nice view.
First of all, Corey is outstanding!
The hotel is wonderful and this is our second time.
We enjoyed the atmosphere, the facilities, the sumptuous breakfast and the extraordinary service. It is definitely a 4 star hotel and for us 5.
We will definitely return.
A great place to stay before going into the mountains. We booked one night at the hotel before our multiple day hike. A nice place with comfortable beds and a good breakfast. The room was big and had a double bed and one single bed since we where with 3 people.
wonderful breakfest, one of the best i had in hotel. Monika (the host) is extremely helpful, very kind and a great host. the location is perfect and the view is absolutely stunning. They welcome and adore dogs, so bring yours too.
The location was the most amazing I have ever been. Balcony facing the Alps, fresh air, amazing people and the hotel was awesome. We now want to go back again. Ah... and it was so close to the Waterfall. Completely perfect!!!
Everything was very nice. The breakfeast had many good options and the staff is very friendly. The hotel was really clean and smells really nice. The room had a beautiful view!
Great hotel for the price- clean, warm, spacious. The room had everything you may need, comfortable bed and a lot of space. Beautiful location too. Inexpensive breakfast.
