Situated some 930 metres ASL, it is at the end of tram route STB that takes you into the heart of Innsbruck in an hour and is ideal for alighting at stops from which to trek through the meadows and forests. Good base to explore Stubai region. Though local tax may be higher than other places and there is additional road toll to access the region, the use of Stubai guest card to cover mountain cable cars and car parking cost provide convenience and enjoyment.

We stayed at Gasthof Gröbenhof on our way to Italy.
We stayed at Gasthof Gröbenhof on our way to Italy. We have never seen such a clean accomodation as Gröbenhof. Our bedroom and bathroom were both big and very comfortable. Dinner on the night of arrival and breakfast the next day were both very good. Recommended for a sleepover!

The host is a sociable and helpful person, he gave us details on shops, cafes and hiking routes. So we felt that we are really welcome here. It is a very nice location- 5 minutes walk to the bus stop and shops. And you can easily go to Innsbruck or have a piecefull walk along green fieds, clean streets or the river, enjoy valley flowers, trill of birds and crickets.
