Fulpmes is one of a handful of villages clustered along the beautiful Stubai Valley (Stubaital). Situated some 930 metres ASL, it is at the end of tram route STB that takes you into the heart of Innsbruck in an hour and is ideal for alighting at stops from which to trek through the meadows and forests. Good base to explore Stubai region. Though local tax may be higher than other places and there is additional road toll to access the region, the use of Stubai guest card to cover mountain cable cars and car parking cost provide convenience and enjoyment.

We stayed at Gasthof Gröbenhof on our way to Italy.
We stayed at Gasthof Gröbenhof on our way to Italy. We have never seen such a clean accomodation as Gröbenhof. Our bedroom and bathroom were both big and very comfortable. Dinner on the night of arrival and breakfast the next day were both very good. Recommended for a sleepover!

As it's located in Fulpmes, it's 11 km from the first hut (Starkenburger Hütte). Carmen, the hostess, is very nice, welcoming and attendtive. We were late past check-in time, but Carmen assured us it's ok and waited for us until we arrived. The room is very basic, but nice and cosy. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is absolutely fabulous with a variety of dishes (fruits, juices, cheeses, salami, eggs and cereals).YanaiIsrael

The room was so spacious and lovely with the most astounding view of the Alps that we will never forget. The self service bar with the honour system was great as it meant we could just chill in the evening with a beer and be left to our own devices. The breakfast was also great with a wide selection of choice and adapted for vegans too! The bed as well was huge and so comfortable.`
