Situated some 930 metres ASL, it is at the end of tram route STB that takes you into the heart of Innsbruck in an hour and is ideal for alighting at stops from which to trek through the meadows and forests. Good base to explore Stubai region. Though local tax may be higher than other places and there is additional road toll to access the region, the use of Stubai guest card to cover mountain cable cars and car parking cost provide convenience and enjoyment.

We stayed at Gasthof Gröbenhof on our way to Italy.
We stayed at Gasthof Gröbenhof on our way to Italy. We have never seen such a clean accomodation as Gröbenhof. Our bedroom and bathroom were both big and very comfortable. Dinner on the night of arrival and breakfast the next day were both very good. Recommended for a sleepover!

We all were happy and amazed to see Super Stubai Card with our names on the table in our room with so many things to do free of charge. Children were more than happy. The view is amazing, the room had a balcony where you can enjoy the quiet evening and morning. Substantial breakfast. Friendly staff. Very safe place, the hotel is closed after staff leaves. A very comfortable lounge with drinks, sofas, armchairs inside and outside to enjoy after a tiring day of hiking.

As it's located in Fulpmes, it's 11 km from the first hut (Starkenburger Hütte). Carmen, the hostess, is very nice, welcoming and attendtive. We were late past check-in time, but Carmen assured us it's ok and waited for us until we arrived. The room is very basic, but nice and cosy. The bed was comfortable. Rooms were really equipped about everything which are need to be used in daily schedule. SPA, sauna, swimming pool (with fish), ski room, undergound garage, lift, restaurant, bar, there were also 2 rabbits and cat. Hotel was placed near the few bus station and central city.

She gave us a city card for FREE when we checked in, that included all major cable cars, coasters, public transport and swimming pools. So we did not have to buy any extra tickets for the activities during our stay. The location was good. The hotel looks amazing with all the flower decorations.
