Situated some 930 metres ASL, it is at the end of tram route STB that takes you into the heart of Innsbruck in an hour and is ideal for alighting at stops from which to trek through the meadows and forests. Good base to explore Stubai region. Though local tax may be higher than other places and there is additional road toll to access the region, the use of Stubai guest card to cover mountain cable cars and car parking cost provide convenience and enjoyment.

We stayed at Gasthof Gröbenhof on our way to Italy. We have never seen such a clean accomodation as Gröbenhof. Our bedroom and bathroom were both big and very comfortable. Dinner on the night of arrival and breakfast the next day were both very good. Recommended for a sleepover!

The staff, especially the lady at reception, went above and beyond to make sure that all of our needs were met and to provide us with helpful information. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and the bed is extremely comfortable. There were a variety of options available at the breafast buffet, all of which were delicious. The hotel is in the perfect location for outdoor activities and we thoroughly enjoyed the wellness area upon our return.

As it's located in Fulpmes, it's 11 km from the first hut (Starkenburger Hütte). Carmen, the hostess, is very nice, welcoming and attendtive. We were late past check-in time, but Carmen assured us it's ok and waited for us until we arrived. The room is very basic, but nice and cosy. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is absolutely fabulous with a variety of dishes (fruits, juices, cheeses, salami, eggs and cereals).

We asked for a small snack in the afternoon and received a big platter with cheeses and hams. You receive a card for the cable cars in the surrounding. Very convenient stay!
