Fulpmes is one of a handful of villages clustered along the beautiful Stubai Valley (Stubaital). Situated some 930 metres ASL, it is at the end of tram route STB that takes you into the heart of Innsbruck in an hour and is ideal for alighting at stops from which to trek through the meadows and forests. Good base to explore Stubai region. Though local tax may be higher than other places and there is additional road toll to access the region, the use of Stubai guest card to cover mountain cable cars and car parking cost provide convenience and enjoyment.

We stayed at Gasthof Gröbenhof on our way to Italy.
We stayed at Gasthof Gröbenhof on our way to Italy. We have never seen such a clean accomodation as Gröbenhof. Our bedroom and bathroom were both big and very comfortable. Dinner on the night of arrival and breakfast the next day were both very good. Recommended for a sleepover!

We visited with a toddler and he was welcome too. The hotel is very family friendly. It even has a huge playroom for kids. The swimming pool and the sauna area are amazing and the view is just breathtaking. Also the breakfast is fantastic. Great local dishes and the bread is top 3 breads I ever ate. We fully recommend this place and we hope to be back soon. Thank you.

As it's located in Fulpmes, it's 11 km from the first hut (Starkenburger Hütte). Carmen, the hostess, is very nice, welcoming and attendtive. We were late past check-in time, but Carmen assured us it's ok and waited for us until we arrived. The room is very basic, but nice and cosy. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is absolutely fabulous with a variety of dishes (fruits, juices, cheeses, salami, eggs and cereals).YanaiIsrael

We never would have thought going to the Stubai valley with a toddler could have been so much fun. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. Mainly Austrian/German cuisine at dinner but it was quite good. The spa at the hotel is nice and we enjoyed the half board and the extra space of the junior suite we booked.

She gave us a city card for FREE when we checked in, that included all major cable cars, coasters, public transport and swimming pools. So we did not have to buy any extra tickets for the activities during our stay. The location was good. The hotel looks amazing with all the flower decorations.
