Very clean, modernized and fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Very spacious and quiet location in a charming mountain village, perfect for us between Garmisch, Neuschwanstein Castle and Highline 179. Check-in was easy and hostess was very kind and responsive. We would definitely stay again

Beautiful view from our cozy chalet. The host had great communication & was helpful in suggesting day trips & spectacular hikes from the front door of the chalet. Our chalet was the perfect base to visit Neuschwanstein, the Parknach Gorge, the Zugspitze & other lovely hikes that the host suggested. The host provided a lovely meal breakfast every morning. I recommend Sportstüberl - the best restaurant one could...
I recommend Sportstüberl - the best restaurant one could imagine! Each week there's a concert of local brass-band, which is great. Also, Berwang is located at the level of 1342 m a.s.l, so it's an ideal start point for hiking, considering elevation gain. The views from Berwang are astonishing and everyone is very nice. There is also a perfect tourist information point at the heart of the village.

The room was comfortable, with a modern bathroom with a good walk-in shower. It was quiet at night. Our room had a small balcony with a view of the mountains. Berwang is a small town and you can walk everywhere. Although there was one flight of stairs to our room, the stairs were not steep and had a good handrail. It's an easy day trip to get to the Austrian side of Zugspitze gondola.

Everything was new and clean and the family owning and running the business was so friendly and ready to support us with any question or wish. Tourist bus is parking in the front of the pension.

We could ride up and have a good hike at the top in the cooler air. Alternatively, we could take a very easy walk back down the mountain arriving back in Berwang in 50 minutes.
