Wonderful quiet place, with easy access to many of the touristic attractions of this beautiful region of Austria. A really nice and more economic alternative to Hallstatt, which is beautiful but in very big demand during the holiday seasons.

Beautiful and lovely town, with really nice restaurants and cafes! And it’s located right next to Hallstättersee ( specifically next to Untersee Stranbad, which is the best lake & beach in Austria to my opinion).

Bad Goisern is a place where I met friendly people , nice shop around , easy to get around by walker. Fresh air, nice view , nice location, nice people even when talk to stranger or tourist like me, they willing to offer help at their best effort basic. Their life is simple and happier
Perfect hotel. I think we’ve got a new room, I don’t know maybe it was rebuilt, but everything was new and clean. A great big room with balcony and forest outside. The bed is very comfortable. You can watch Netflix, YouTube or local channels on TV. Breakfast is good and you can eat there in the evening also. It’s important because the hotel is situated not in the center of the town… In addition, you can find a sauna, a swimming pool (almost cold water), a big parking.
Location is just stunning and the view is magnificent. Lovely balcony area to sit … lots of do but you need a car. Lots of hot water and hotel is very well heated. There is a pool and spa in the hotel but you have to pay. Lots of parking . Lots of lovely walking from the hotel. BG is an easy walk down the hill about 20 mins - good supermarkets, pharmacy, bank, cafe and restaurant in the village is awesome with its own bar and bakery! Always something going on in BG.
Wanderlust is the best B&B we have ever stayed at! The hosts are absolutely wonderful - we didn’t know this region, but they recommended so many great places for us to visit and dine in, and therefore we got the best out of our stay in Bad Goisern. The house and rooms are beautiful, the breakfast was so delicious and fresh and the location of Wanderlust is just perfect. We will definately be back - thank you for a wonderful stay.
The owners are extremely nice, which is something Austria got us used to. The place is quite an old, very cosy, quiet house, providing perfect sleep. Bad Goisern itself is cute and picturesque. There river here makes a tiny waterfall which shimmers night and day and is perfectly heard from the guesthouse. Life here has a slow, calm flow and if you want to rest, this is the place.
The hotel is amazing, we really loved the architecture and the detaills that were built with wood in the rooms. The breakfast was all an experience. The people that work here and the owners were super friendly with us. Luisa helps us in all that we needed and she speaks english perfectly well! Finally, a special mention to Pele and Alaba their beautiful dogs!
Bad Goisern is a nice little quiet town to base yourself to visit Hallstatt. The hostel is close to the train station. A towel was included with the price of the stay. The showers by the kitchen were the best showers I've ever used in a hostel. Really interesting shower heads. The bed was comfortable.
Perfect stay in a small village right next to Hallstatt. Amazing breakfast and very good rooms. The room design could be considered dated, but that for me personally adds to the charm of the hotel. They have a charging station nearby which means you can travel to Hallstatt completely electric.
We spent parts of 3 days touring the small towns in the area between Fuschli, Hallstatt, Aultausee and Gmunden. The apartment location in Bad Goisern was ideal.
We enjoyed the comforts and cleanliness of the apartment. The balcony and mountain views were a treat in the evenings.
Location is really nice. Bad Goisern is a really cute city, you should def check it out. It's a15 min drive to Hallstatt so it's amazing.
The beds are super comfy. It feels like sleeping on a cloud.
The guest house is really cute and charming.
The view of the mountains is stunning.
Traditional Austrian hotel, very comfortable and well maintained with lots of green space and great spa facilities. The kitchen produced excellent dishes and the room was very spacious and comfortable despite not having a balcony or a particular view
The hotel is so good, it is typical Austrian with wooden roofs. The room view was so nice and the area around the hotel is actually a lovely countryside.
The stuff is nice and food is delicious.
Best hostel I've ever been to. The best hosts also and we love their dog so much (spykee❤️). Location was the best, just near Hallstatt and also the town itself is amazing (Bad Goisern).
