What a lovely European experience. If you want a quaint BnB type stay, not the commercial Airbnb apartment rental, this is it! You will be transported back in time to where weary travelers need safety and a warm meal served by the innkeeper. Who also, is a little like your grandmother! We really got a kick out of the personal tour of our room, including which buttons do what on the TV remote control! Just a lovely place to lay your head and get a personalized touch to your experience! Did you lay your swimsuit on the radiator to dry? Nonna will bring in an unobtrusive drying rack to hang it on properly!

Everything was very nice. When going to Schwarzwald next time, I will book the same place. It is calm, clean and calm river Enz just 30 m. For hiking, it is ideal place to start many itineraries. No problem with parking your car. Everything you need to know (e.g., how to operate kitchen or waste sorting) was explained and printed in one page. No doubt, just comfortable stay.

if you like the Lake District in the UK then this is better - no crowds and better buses and trams and cable cars and opera festivals
and the spiral wood walkway and the high bridge in the forest - brilliant
and enough English spoken and a Lidl in the town. no noise at night
village a bit like a mini Venice with less ornate buildings, but some architecture.
good restaurants al fresco no road noise.

We visited for 5 days in the middle of winter over new years eve. It was unusually warm, one day reaching 17 degrees. There are many lovely walking tracks above the town and you can walk up the hill to them. We found there weren't many restaurants to choose from although it may have been the time of year. The restaurants we went to were very nice though. We had access to the adults only wellness centre which was fantastic but pretty busy. Overall we have a great stay at Bad Wildbad, lovely walks, nice food and plenty of wellness.

Bad Wildbad is a very beautiful place to go with your partner or family. They have a very nice park down the riverside, thermal baths, and a lot of easy trails (they are beautiful and very well maintained). On top of the mountain, they have a wood structure and a wood spiral - very fun and a most go, a big playground for children, and a Wildline (not for those who have motion sickness). For these, you have to pay. You also get a card for free public transport in the region from your host.

Great place for a long weekend, trails to explore on the Sommerberg, mountainbike trails, a lovely Baumwipfelpad and lots of activities for kids, a big and beautiful park (Kurpark) and spas (the lovely Palais Thermal and Vital Therme).
Wonderful location and Gasthaus. Frau Hirzel greeted us a bit early, showed us our room and had information in English of things to do in the area.
It was truly an apartment with a hot plate to warm things up, pot to heat water for coffee and/or tea, enough table settings for two, and of course, a refrigerator.
Adjoining our apartment was a nice balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy the beautiful weather.
We were also afforded a parking spot next to our house.
Exceptional stay in the heart of Bad Wildbad. The flat amenities were excellent, with an additional small AC which surprisingly gets the room quite cold. This is especially useful as the room can get too warm. The kitchen has all utensils that you need. Bathroom is well equipped.
The underground parking (quite narrow) but a definite plus for a stay in this town.
Very convenient and central location right next to the tram station but still quiet (spa town - not a party zone). Very close to funicular railway up Sommerberg as well as the hiking trail heads. Supermarket within short walking distance. Apartment is well equipped with household appliances. Instant email response from host upon booking.
Nice view out over the town and the mountains. Nice balcony to sit out and enjoy the air. Convenient to be able to eat dinner at the restaurant, as the town below was a VERY steep climb. Conveniently located though very close to the Vital Therme, which was free for hotel guests. Bring your own towel and bathing shoes!
We loved it! We were travelling with a 2 and 4 year old and it was perfect. We wished we would have stayed longer. It was super quiet and spotless clean and very well set up for a family vacation. Lots to do in the area for kids. We had a two bedroom apartment and it was very spacious for the price.
The staff, with their warm welcome, their tips to spend the WE and their caring attention to details.
The bathroom, the very comfortable view and the balcony with view to the Sommerberg.
The location: very easy to reach with public transport, practically next to the Palais Thermal and the Kurpark.
The owners are so kind and welcome. She explained me about the village and where to go, what to do. The hotel is old style and the decorations make you feel like in previous times I liked that. The room has a great balcony view to the mountains where you can wake up with the sunrise in your bed.
Fabulous breakfast, great staff and free entry to the Palais Thermal. Plus a guest card which allows free travel by public transport in the Black Forest, free entry at the Vital Therme nearby and discounts for the Sommerbergbahn. Surprisingly quiet room too.
The apartment is very comfortable and large! The view is fantastic! It was raining so we could not enjoy the deck. Our host were very gracious and helpful. Many walking trails right up the road! The thermal spas were less than a five minute drive.
Extremely convenient location; a very short walk to the thermal baths. The comfort exceeded my expectations. The rooms are modest but it was the most comfortable room I stayed in in Germany, for the lowest price I paid. Excellent excellent value.
Almost everything.
1. Location was great with great view of the setting sun behind the mountain.
2. Hosts werr great and were very warm and welcoming.
3. Beds were comfy.
4. Rooms were clean and spacious.
Lovely family run hotel. very pretty nice big rooms and amazingly beautiful gardens and a lovely terrace off the room. Nice bathroom with plenty of towels.
Good breakfast
very glad we stayed here.
Spacious accommodation, big balcony, big living room. Cleanliness. Request for early checkin, the owner responded promptly although we didn’t since we were enjoying our meal in town. Good value.
super nice service and nice stuff. clean rooms and perfect location.
the hotel is 5-6 min walking distance from all the sightseeing districts and the train station.
Spacious apartment, ideal for families, well-located (from there you can easily explore the "black forest") and with everything you need for a pleasant stay.
