The town is beautiful! There’s a lot to do in the area. I definitely recommend taking the boat tour across the lake to both Salet and St. Bartholoma. The hikes at both were incredible! There are several shops and restaurants near the lake with a lot of options for food and souvenirs. There’s a lot of parking as you get close to the waterfront. I do recommend getting there early though as the lots do fill up. Bring some coins for the parking meter as well. Definitely recommend a trip here!AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0

What a beautiful place to spend time! The weather was perfect, the scenery was beautiful, the people were nice, and my husband and I enjoyed it so much. We can't wait to visit again because there is so much more to experience!

Get there early. There's a lot of people here. You had to wait in line to climb the mountain but I'm not complaining cause it's spectacular there. I wish they had a common area trash can though cause I kept picking up discarded trash from other visitors.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

When planning to visit Königssee, there could not be a Moree lovely place to stay. The lady who runs the house couldn't have been more helpful. Everything is clean, tidy and neat. Breakfast - lovely.

We ate at Gaststätte Echostüberl, fish and traditional German food, everything was very tasty and the service was quick. I crossed the boat and climbed to one of the waterfalls. We visited a monastery and ate the traditional kaiserschmarrn dessert. We enjoyed the street shops on the way to the boat.

The first room we stayed in (Room 2) was simply furnished, but adequate for two person. bathroom was a little small but overall ok. we had a change of room for another two nights. this time it’s one that has a balcony and looking into the lake directly ( Room 4). room was fantastic- newly renovated, modern looking and spacious. breakfast was good, sufficient choices of cold cuts, cheeses, bread, fruits for yogurt etc.

The facility was very clean and well kept. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My room had a great view of Jenner silhouetted by beautiful flowers. Breakfast was cold cuts, cereal, cheese, juice, and bread. I'll gladly stay here again when back in the Berchtesgaden/Schönau am Königssee region.
