The town is beautiful! There’s a lot to do in the area. I definitely recommend taking the boat tour across the lake to both Salet and St. Bartholoma. The hikes at both were incredible! There are several shops and restaurants near the lake with a lot of options for food and souvenirs. There’s a lot of parking as you get close to the waterfront. I do recommend getting there early though as the lots do fill up. Bring some coins for the parking meter as well. Definitely recommend a trip here!AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0

What a beautiful place to spend time! The weather was perfect, the scenery was beautiful, the people were nice, and my husband and I enjoyed it so much. We can't wait to visit again because there is so much more to experience!

Get there early. There's a lot of people here. You had to wait in line to climb the mountain but I'm not complaining cause it's spectacular there. I wish they had a common area trash can though cause I kept picking up discarded trash from other visitors.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

When planning to visit Königssee, there could not be a Moree lovely place to stay. The lady who runs the house couldn't have been more helpful. Everything is clean, tidy and neat. Breakfast - lovely.

We ate at Gaststätte Echostüberl, fish and traditional German food, everything was very tasty and the service was quick. I crossed the boat and climbed to one of the waterfalls. We visited a monastery and ate the traditional kaiserschmarrn dessert. We enjoyed the street shops on the way to the boat.

I can say that they care for the details more than any hotel i have seen before. The staff are very friendly, professional and responded to all our questions. They recommended to us what to do and have us a map with all the explanations. This indeed made our stay easier and gave us time to enjoy the sceneries around. Everything is nearby, you can go to Königssee, hintersee, thumsee, and jehner bann.
