The town is beautiful! There’s a lot to do in the area. I definitely recommend taking the boat tour across the lake to both Salet and St. Bartholoma. The hikes at both were incredible! There are several shops and restaurants near the lake with a lot of options for food and souvenirs. There’s a lot of parking as you get close to the waterfront. I do recommend getting there early though as the lots do fill up. Bring some coins for the parking meter as well. Definitely recommend a trip here!AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0

What a beautiful place to spend time! The weather was perfect, the scenery was beautiful, the people were nice, and my husband and I enjoyed it so much. We can't wait to visit again because there is so much more to experience!

Get there early. There's a lot of people here. You had to wait in line to climb the mountain but I'm not complaining cause it's spectacular there. I wish they had a common area trash can though cause I kept picking up discarded trash from other visitors.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

When planning to visit Königssee, there could not be a Moree lovely place to stay. The lady who runs the house couldn't have been more helpful. Everything is clean, tidy and neat. Breakfast - lovely.

We ate at Gaststätte Echostüberl, fish and traditional German food, everything was very tasty and the service was quick. I crossed the boat and climbed to one of the waterfalls. We visited a monastery and ate the traditional kaiserschmarrn dessert. We enjoyed the street shops on the way to the boat.

On the first day, my wife got a bit sick and I called to ask for some medicines. The receptionist was quick to come to our door and offered different types of medicines which was very helpful. And on our last night, the 2 nearest restaurants were fully booked so we ended up having dinner at the hotel and it was very tasty.

Boat rides just start in front of the hotel. The hotel is situated just at the start of the sea. The nearest bus stop is just 3-4 minutes away.
