Located a little out of "town" but on the main road, this was a good location for us to stage visits to various sites in the area. The breakfast buffet was yummy with freshly made scrambled eggs every morning and very good coffee. It was handy to get to do laundry while we were there.

The building is lovely, room and bathroom were nice size. Host Michael was wonderful. There is a breakfast option, and Michael offered us dinner on Friday. Breakfast was a bit expensive, but it was very good. It was great that we could control the temperature in the room easily with multiple radiators. It's set in a lovely country setting, no crowds or traffic noise.

The property is beautiful - a well-renovated castle! Our room at the top of the tower was clean and spacious. The location is quiet, but a short distance by car to Seiffen, which we visited for the Christmas market and shopping for the traditional decorations of the region. While small, the spa area was pleasant. We encountered only a few other guests in the morning after breakfast. This area likely becomes busier during high tourist seasons and in the evenings. The breakfast was as you expect for most hotels offering continental breakfast. While apparently under-trained, most of the staff on property was friendly.
