The Hotel Fischerwirt was really perfect for our family. The apartment provided more than enough room for us to spread out, relax and get some much needed rest. The open space behind the hotel was absolutely wonderful, allowing our boys to place fussball and run around burning off all that youthful energy. The playground was also great and our boys made up a fun obstacle course that entertained them while we enjoyed a few biers amd the mountain views!
The breakfast was fantastic, a perfect Bavarian start to the day with plenty of options. We especially loved the leberkase!
We ate two dinners there probably should have made it three instead of in town in Ruhpolding. The portions were large and the food very good.

I came to Ruhpolding to watch the World Cup Biathlon race held there. The town is beautiful and easy to get to via auto or train. My hope is to return in the summer sometime and enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities.

Our stay included a local bank holiday and there seemed to be a lot of families with young children and babies staying at the hotel. Consequently, the pool ares and sauna were too overcrowded to use and there was a lot of noise in the leisure areas and dining room.
The grounds to the hotel are expansive and beautifully maintained and we were pleased to find there is a short scenic walk to RUHPOLDING , an interesting town with a good compliment of shops and cafes.
The rooms are cleaned every other day unless otherwise requested but they forgot to leave towels when they cleaned.
The reception staff are polite but seemed indifferent. The restaurant staff are very pleasant and professional.

We have visited Ruhpolding on many occasions but not for 4 years (covid etc). We returned to find a thriving community, busier (but comfortable) town centre than last time we visited & excellent local facilities.

A great little town with a lot of hiking tails, old houses, restaurants and shop. Great transportation possibilities (train, bus). We definitely prefer Ruhpolding over Inzell, Bad Reichenhall or Berchtesgaden.
Hotel Zur Post is amazing. Best ever..and we,ve certainly travelled a lot. It,s our 2nd running and we stayed a week. The management….breakfast, bar, evening, reception staff all so professional. Simply perfect. Everyone all smiley ….and friendly. So lovely to have on your week away from England. Very central to everything, ie. ski lifts, walks, ice rink, swimming pool, shops…most on your doorstep. Parking was FREE at the hotel. Can,t wait to go again ..January 2025.
Nice, small and bright studio in a central, but quiet location. Only a few steps away from "downtown" Ruhpolding with shops, cafés, bakeries and restaurants. Everything you require for 2 persons for a couple of active outdoor days in the winter season. Balcony. Parking onsite. Good value for money. & a very nice host who is always a phone call away if you need anything.
We loved everything about this hotel/pension. The location is great, everything was exceptionally clean, the rooms were very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The owner provided us with excellent recommendations for restaurants the 2 nights we were there and she even made our reservations. Our only regret is that we should have stayed longer.
The room was large and spacious. It has a small balcony. At night time it was quiet so you can listen to yourself. The food was good and the breakfast was above my expectation. The people were quite friendly. The decoration of the room and the hotel were nice. You spot a different thing in every look.
Our bavarian style appartaments were very spacious and cozy. The huge balcony had a view to the mountains. The hotel restaurant serves tasty national food at favourable prices. It is the perfect spot to start tours to Berchstegaden and the border of Austria is also nearby.
This hotel is super clean, comfortable and the staff are exceptionally nice and helpful. The breakfast exceeded our expectations for the cost of the stay. The pool and sauna were bonuses. The value for money was exceptional.
The staff was extremely freindly. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was very good, for both breakfast and dinner. Great location for exploring Southeast Germany. We felt the cost of the room was well worth it.
The owners were exceptionally helpful: they made restaurant reservations for us and provided dairy-free alternatives (our son has a milk intolerance). The hotel itself is very comfy and pleasant. Would 100% recommend.
The hotel is surrounded by green fields and this makes the whole atmosphere of this traditional bavarian house really nice. The waiters were really friendly and the room was clean. The breakfast was really good too.
Staff very polite. Location central. Hotel very clean. Newly furnished. Swimming pool and spa very clean. Very satisfied with the stay. Hotel better than many 5 star hotels we have visited. Many thanks.
Excellent one bedroom apartment. Furnished throughout to a very high standard. The location for Ruhpolding town centre is excellent being just a 3-4 minute walk away.
