The view of the mountains and having the patio. The quaint old style yet clean and all the amenities. Excellent breakfast. Loved the pool and wished we would have had more time with it!

The breakfast was very good with lots of selections. My wife and I enjoyed relaxing and looking at the mountains and castles in the distance.
The saunas, steam rooms, relaxation rooms, and pools were so nice that we didn't even want to leave the property.

This is a great area if you like a quiet village, nature, walking, hiking, biking, swimming in nearby lakes. My hotel, Alpenblick, was a perfect location for all of this. Having a car helps, but there are buses to most places in the area and train connections from nearby towns. One big hub is Steingaden from where you can get to most places. This area is a good place to slow down, relax, recuperate if you are living in a fast paced city and all that it entails. People are friendly and helpful if the hotel staff are anything to go by.

Nice village 10 minutes from the Ticketoffice for the castles (at the bottom of Neuschwanstein castle - starting point to discover the castle). Best place to stay with nice view on the mountains and no tourists (contrary to Fussen and Neuschwanstein). Some good restaurants around also :-) more local
I was here for the second time. The first time I was here with a small group of friends and we booked several rooms. This time I just needed one room. The hotel is very close to Neuschwanstein castle, but it is much cheaper than the hotels in Füssen or Schwangau. The parking is just around the house. There is a pub/restaurant on the ground floor which is very practical. Breakfast was good and rich, though, when the house is pretty full, you need to go downstairs in time. Music from the pub until 11 p.m. was fine and well chosen.
Nice and cosy hotel near the castles. The room was clean and had all the necesseties, and the breakfast was really sweet: each table with a little pyramid full of goodies. The rooms are on the first floor, while on the ground floor there is a little reastaraunt where in the evening typical greek food is served. We didn't have the chance to taste it, but it smelled and looked really tasty! The owner didnt't speak English, but she was very nice and helpful and we were able to understand eachother anyway.
The breakfast was extremely pleasant, well organized with many attractive offerings. The room was comfortable and clean and warm on a rather cold, rainy night. The location was sublime with the view across the way stretching off to the mountains in the south--a heavenly spot. I received excellent advice about driving to my next location from a hotel employee who came around at breakfast to ask us how our stay was going. This advice was important and encouraging to me
Breakfast was amazing. The staff was beyond hospitable even when we showed up to breakfast 15 mins before they were open, they assisted us. The view from our room was breathtaking. It was a huge suite, more than we expected when we booked it. The daily rate was exceptional. Worth every penny. One of my favorite hotels ever. Homey, quaint, beautiful. The front door of the hotel is locked and only guests can come in. Very safe.
One of our favorite hotels on our trip. Great parking, fabulous staff, both at the front desk and at the restaurant. The food at their Italian restaurant was delicious and the portions were huge. We stayed in a newly built, add-on section of the hotel and the rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. They offered a complementary bus pass which was very helpful. A great hotel for value and location to tour the castles.
It was our last day in Bavaria, after a week touring from the Black Forest. Had to see the Neuschwanstein Castle, but be at Munich Airport the following day for a flight home. Worked like clockwork ! Staff eager to please, nothing too difficult.
Hotel and Restaurant run separately, but everything seamless. Excellent meal in the restaurant, after lots of walking, and the morning breakfast was wonderful.
Everything was great. Big comfortable room nicely decorated with balcony viewing the mountains. Free parking space in front of the hotel. Rich breakfast with variety. Friendly owners. Garden with possibility to sit and relax. Restaurants nearby. Good location near Neuschwastein castle, bavarian alps, lakes and the german-austrian border
The terrace was nice. The room was clean. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was good, but not as great as in other German hotels. There's a small drinks/snack room based on honor system. Guests have access to a small common space and the backyard. Plenty of free parking. It's quiet. Dog friendly (with a fee).
We had a great one night stay at Hotel Bannwaldsee. Room was very comfortable and clean. We had dinner in the restaurant and ordered the steak. We have been travelling in Switzerland & Germany for three weeks and I can say was the best meal so far. Beer was also excellent. Thanks
The hotel is great. Very helpful personel, very picturesque place, abundant delicious breakfast, very location. The rooms are very large, with a balcony overlooking the Alps. The beds are king size. There is always a parking space. We will definitely visit again.
Very nice family hotel. Especially I liked the water pressure in the shower, it was amazing! Especially after the long drive that I had. The room was very clean, the stuff was very friendly. The best value for the money you pay.
Excellent views from the balcony.Good variety for breakfast.Pool was clean and the water was just right for swimming. There were plenty of white fluffy towels. This hotel is ldeally situated for visiting King Ludwigs castles.
The hotel was clean, staff very friendly and the breakfast really delicious. Would highly recommend if you are visiting Neuschwanstein and surrounding castles since it's just a short (less than 10 minute) drive away
Our family really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were so clean, spacious and they had a great breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. Also this is a great location and close to visiting Neuschwanstein.
The hotel is right at the mountains, the sight is phenomenal. The breakfast was simple but pretty good, the scrambled egg is amazing. The rooms are clean and large enough, everything was nice.
Staff was kind, she supported us to give paper bags for taking breakfast away because we didn’t have enough time to eat it in the hotel.
There were enough car parking space.
