The food was very good and the property itself is beautiful. Great amenities. Unfortunately, the poor service and scary situation that no one was able to help with, overshadowed anything else positive that I have to say.

We had a spacious two-story, two-bedroom, two-bathroom, three-balcony suite with lovely mountain views. It also had a kitchenette, separate dining area, and an upstairs sitting area. We went to the pools (main pool, whirlpool, and children's play pool) twice a day--there's a fourth, adults-only pool that we didn't visit. The resort is very close to central Garmisch and easily walkable. It's only a few minutes drive (by car or by the hotel's shuttle bus) to the Hausbergbahn. The kids enjoyed the minigolf course, the game room, and the buffets. We've stayed at several resorts in the Zugspitze area and would gladly return to this one.
This accommodations features a minimalistic style with organic materials and is located in the heart of the Garmisch district, just 2625 feet from the Classic ski area.

At the foot of Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is one of the country’s top ski resorts. The Bavarian style of its Alpine chalets includes beautiful flowers lining every balcony, and colourful frescoes adorning the outsides of houses.
The varied skiing and snowboarding in the surrounding Alps is based mainly on blue and red runs. To ski on the Zugspitze glacier you take a train up to the mountain then a cable car down to the slopes. The summit itself offers magnificent views of the valleys below, provided you’re lucky enough to get a break in the clouds.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a former host of the Winter Olympics and the World Alpine Ski Championships. It also has a ski jump that forms part of the world cup of that sport. In summer hiking is the most popular activity and a lengthy route leads up to King’s House on Schachen, a supposed castle that looks more like a house.
It was built for Ludwig II, the eccentric king behind the region’s most impressive castle – Neuschwanstein to the north-west of Garmisch. The road between them passes by Oberammergau, famous for its 10-yearly Passion Plays.

We spent a week in GAP at the end of the winter season.
We spent a week in GAP at the end of the winter season. The weather was warm, but skiing opportunities were just perfect at the Zugspitze which is over 2500m high. From GAP, the train takes you to Munich in an hour, so you can enjoy a big city atmosphere and related activities once you get bored from skiing. By car, you need an hour to reach the most visited tourist attraction in Germany - Neuschwanstein castle. Overall GAP is a cool location for both summer and winter time.

What a lovely area, I want to move here. Such beautiful scenery, mountains for great hikes and lovely people.
It’s also an ok place for skiing, the slopes aren’t super long or the resorts not very fancy but it could be a great place to learn the sport.

Really fantastic place - Partnachklamm is an absolute must!
Really fantastic place - Partnachklamm is an absolute must! Really beautiful walk, so impressive, reasonably priced and not too packed. Bring a small torch or have your phone to hand though for the dark sections!
We ate at Gasthof Herdenfelfer-hof - it was great - lovely atmosphere, good service and great food and beer!
Easy access to Zugspitse too - cable car ride is expensive but overall I’d say worth it for the pretty special views up there! We ran out of time a bit, but make sure you allow a bit of extra time to take the little cable car down to the glacier where there looked to be some great opportunities for tobaganning for the kids!
Oh - and we found many public toilets needed 50c, so maybe have a few coins at the ready, especially if travelling with young children!
Would loved to have stayed here longer and explored the surrounding areas, and Austria, more.

Liked Everything... Absolutely Everything. Great Location, Great Hotel, Great facilities. Great Staff.
Perfect for family with kids, well equipped kitchen, super friendly staff. Amazing room sizes, Amazing bathroom size. Hotel is exactly as it is showed in the pics. If you have car , you can drive around great eating places. Netto supermarket very close that serves everything one family would require.
Scenic mountain view from the window.
Big wardrobes. We had two big bedrooms with a well furnished main room , separate kitchen area
I highly recommend this accommodation. Located on a beautiful main street, the rooms are classic and comfortable. I shared bathroom (which was very clean and in good condition) but there was a little sink in the room which I found quite convenient. The staff is wonderful, attentive and friendly. The hotel has a classic german restaurant just downstairs which is quite convenient. The breakfast is exceptional! On my last day, they prepared a lunch-box for me because I had to leave before breakfast time. Great experience, I'll be back!
There is nothing not to like about this place. There is so much attention to detail in everything they are doing and that's obvious in every corner. From the very cozy lobby and breakfast/dinner room to all other facilities such a variety of saunas and pools with great views, everything was great.
The quality of the food is one of the highlights as well and the overall service is beyond expectations.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a stunning little town and also a very convenient location to expore the magnificent surroundings.
The location was exceptional. Very near the bahnhof and easy to get around Garmisch. The hotel has all these somewhat hidden luxuries which they should promote more. I didn't know about the nice garden behind the restaurant and that there was a hot pool next to the pool. The bathroom was SPECTACULAR in my room. The service people were great at the front desk - provided tourist pass and helped me book day trip to Zugspitze and Eibsee.
For a Hostel it was very much like a hotel room. Comfortable, and nice bathroom with towels included. Check in required you to sign up for a year membership for international hostels however local buses were free for visiting the town. There is no TV or comfortable chairs in the room to sit. But overall a very nice place to stay. You must try the Sauna with beautiful view of mountains. Breakfast was included and was just right.
Only about 5-10 min walk from train station and local buses. The hotel gives a guest card for free bus rides in town. The room was very large. Nice drying rack in bathroom. The breakfast was Exceptionally good. Best coffee we have had in Europe. Super quiet and lovely. Comfortable beds. Easily walkable to great Bavarian restaurants too. Loved this hotel.
Don't have a single bad thing to say about this hotel. I can't wait to be back.
The location is amazing, the views are incredible, the staff is super lovely, the rooms are spacious and modern and comfortable. The breakfast is varied and tasty.
Wish we had spent more nights here but we'll definitely be back for more!
The room was of a very high standard and the bed was very comfy, the view from the balcony of Garmisch-Partenkirchen with the mountains in the background was just wonderful, the breakfast was exceptional with a wide choice of foods, very peaceful place and a nice walk around the lake
The hotel itself was very good but it was all of the little extras that made it exceptional. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We only stayed two nights so didn't get chance to use all of the facilities. We would certainly like to go back for a longer stay.
We' stayed in the appartment #9. It was clean, good location - appr. 20 minutes from the centre of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Free parking place. I liked the system of passing the key (via small post box at the entrance, with a PIN, which you receive per e-mail)
Close to train station, convenient walking distance to bus station. Great views. No air conditioning, but temps pleasant in Oct. Room did have a "smokey" smell, but hotel places a high fine for smoking. We kept windows open & was fine.
Breakfast was amazing, Hotel was very Central, clean and quiet despite the ongoing construction. We didnt see or hear any of it happening. Very Friendly and helpful staff. Will definately visit again
The rooms (I booked rooms) were clean and comfortable. The hotel is quiet, clean and things are run very well. The employees in the building where our rooms are located are friendly and warm. 😀
It is located in the center of downtown. Good location, clean room, good breakfasts and the helpful staffs. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again in the future.
Everything is brand new, the house is very nice and cosy. The location is very convenient. 1 min walk to supermarket. 5 mins drive to Garmisch-Partenkirchen train station.
Nice staff, good breakfast, clean and comfortable room.
