We loved everything about this wonderful hotel. It’s like staying in a museum. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Well equipped with lots of electrical outlets and space for belongings. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a real treat. Free covered parking right outside the door. The proprietor and his wife were so friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the Black Forest. Price was very reasonable. Don’t hesitate reserving here, you won’t be disappointed.

In my room when I was there. I experienced wi-fi issues For some reason the signal was not reaching my room. I complained about it and they offered to switch my room but I think it might have been a router location issue but other than that this place was exceptional I highly endorse it.

The hotel is great and the staff is very nice.
The hotel is great and the staff is very nice. Always available to help and asking if everything is ok. The room and the bathroom are very spacious and the breakfast is very good, with a lot of variety to choose from. The location is perfect to rest and get away from the city. I totally recommend this hotel in case you need to disconnect and want to spend a few days in the nature.

Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed but we still got some Flammkuchen and beer. The breakfast was phenomenal. The hotel seems to have a few themed rooms. Our room had a kind of 80s look, wicked but not really my thing. I very much liked the way the hotel is organized, it relies on trust and it seems to have evolved around the long-distance hiking culture. Here is an example, just take a beer and write down how many you had.

First of all, we arrived pretty late and the owners waited for us and showed us to the room. We were really impressed by the room: spacious, a huuuuge bed, very nicely decorated, super clean. 2 bottles of water were waiting for us in the room, which was very appreciated. Breakfast was varied and more than enough. The breakfast room is again very nicely decorated and welcoming. We warmly recommend this hotel for a short or longer stay!

Travelling with kids, they might like it. Every piece of furniture, the lamps, things that decorate the walls, they are all art. Some might find it kitsch. But you never stop exploring in this hotel. Price-quality ratio is excellent. Super breakfast!

Dobel sits directly on top of several hiking paths and we really enjoyed the blue one to Wildseemoor, as it was small, mostly wild and quiet, without people.
