Bayrischzell is a small village, so everywhere was within...
Bayrischzell is a small village, so everywhere was within easy walking distance. There were a number of places to eat in the evening. A leaflet was available, produced by the local tourist office, giving details of a range of walks, including to the summits of local mountains, through woods to neighbouring villages and by stream and rivers to waterfalls.

There are lots of wandering and hiking trails for novices and experienced walkers. There is a very nice public swimming pool and mountains all around; several to visit with cable car. Our family of 6 visited pretty much all the Alpine Restaurants there, but our favorite one is “Gasthof zur Roten Wand” in Gaitau/Bayrischzell. The Restaurant is excellent. There are many beautiful lakes in the area where one can swim, ride a paddle boat ore a Kajak. Also, the quaint city of Kufstein/Tyrol is only a 45 min car ride away.KristinUnited States of America - 8.0Scored 8.0
It was nice.
It was nice. The young man that worked at the train station - at a sports shop was very irritated thatI asked him about how to purchase a train ticked. I did not realize he had nothing to do with the train operations. It would have been an easy answer, without the rude comments that it is not his job. Sad.

A very nice and well-behaved dog was sometimes staying near reception :) The breakfasts are fresh and tasty! The atmosphere of the hotel is great, we also loved the pictures and furniture in shared spaces. For the Silvester-Nacht there was a super nice celebration dinner with live music and dancing. The only tiniest thing that was missing: we really wished there were some Weißwurst for breakfast... :) Otherwise, only positive emotions after our trip! Thank you very much!

I spent a lot of time in business trips and stayed in different hotels, so I appreciate things that makes my stay pleasant. Breakfast was cold cuts, cheese, mozzarella and tomatoes, joghurt, mixed fruit, eggs, rolls. Will definitely stay here again though I may book directly with the hotel to get a cheaper rate.
