Bayrischzell is a small village, so everywhere was within easy walking distance. There were a number of places to eat in the evening. A leaflet was available, produced by the local tourist office, giving details of a range of walks, including to the summits of local mountains, through woods to neighbouring villages and by stream and rivers to waterfalls.

There are lots of wandering and hiking trails for novices and experienced walkers. There is a very nice public swimming pool and mountains all around; several to visit with cable car. Our family of 6 visited pretty much all the Alpine Restaurants there, but our favorite one is “Gasthof zur Roten Wand” in Gaitau/Bayrischzell. The Restaurant is excellent. There are many beautiful lakes in the area where one can swim, ride a paddle boat ore a Kajak. Also, the quaint city of Kufstein/Tyrol is only a 45 min car ride away.

It was nice.
It was nice. The young man that worked at the train station - at a sports shop was very irritated thatI asked him about how to purchase a train ticked. I did not realize he had nothing to do with the train operations. It would have been an easy answer, without the rude comments that it is not his job. Sad.
The personnel is very friendly and helpful, always smiling. A very nice and well-behaved dog was sometimes staying near reception :)
The breakfasts are fresh and tasty!
The atmosphere of the hotel is great, we also loved the pictures and furniture in shared spaces.
For the Silvester-Nacht there was a super nice celebration dinner with live music and dancing.
The only tiniest thing that was missing: we really wished there were some Weißwurst for breakfast... :)
Otherwise, only positive emotions after our trip! Thank you very much!
Staff was very friendly, we liked that they were avialable, room was renovated and was very nice and access to garden, it was really good that for breakfast they have not over done offer, but it was all avialable and good choice, they focsued not to waste food but provide good offer and very local. Also during day coffee was accessible. As i had to work from the place it was calm and easy also from common space. Parking was easy in front of hotel
Excellent location offering great views of the mountains. The hotel offers access to fantastic facilities such as a good swimming pool and gym. The main asset of the facility seems to be the friendly, enthusiastic approach of the staff. Staff were willing to engage in an approachable yet professional manner with guests. The rooms offer panoramic sweeping views.
The hotel is so nice and cozy. I like that the owner is really attentive to details. The hotel has its own style. Everything is clean. I spent a lot of time in business trips and stayed in different hotels, so I appreciate things that makes my stay pleasant. The location is good too: supermarket, ski bus station are close to the hotel.
Geitau is a beautiful village to base explorations. Lots of hiking available straight out the hotel door.
Balcony has incredible view.
Breakfast was cold cuts, cheese, mozzarella and tomatoes, joghurt, mixed fruit, eggs, rolls.
Will definitely stay here again though I may book directly with the hotel to get a cheaper rate.
Swimming pool and sauna/steam room was lovely.
The gym isn't there any more having been replaced by a play area for kids - excellent soft play area, air hockey (free), mini-table tennis, basketball nets (fairground style), table football (free) etc
Breakfast and dinner in the hotel was lovely.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms recently renovated and very clean. For breakfast apart of the traditional cheese and ham, different "eggs" options were available on demand: boiled, fried, etc.
Reasonably priced minibar. A couple of restaurants close to the hotel and Edeka supermarket.
The impression of calm you get when you first drive off the road, of the space around the hotel, and the views. Although we were there to ride the Deutsche Alpen Strasse we did a couple of local walks too. Incredible views all to the tune of the cow bells. Wann hören die Kühe auf zu läuten?
the look and feel of this hotel is amazing. really nice. the pool was great for our daughter to swim and play. the food was good, but they are not very good with kids food. the breakfast was good as well. the front desk staff was really friendly and super helpful..
The Family Room was so clean, and a lot of space. The staff is very polite and very friendly! The Hotel itself close to Train Station, to the Hiking Trail, very easy to find. Their breakfast is amazing! Also the dinner was great!
The suite was very high quality and very comfortable. The staff was also very fri newly and I will recommend this hotel and plan to revisit for future trips.
