The room was spacious and clean, equipped with first-rate furniture, well-lit, and the bathroom was basically following those standards. The breakfast buffet had very rich offerings and something for every taste, including a generous vegan section at the breakfast bar. The location is clearly a bit off the beaten path but that's why you go there in the first place, but still close enough to Freiburg to enjoy the offerings of a first-rate destination. The staff was very courteous, helpful, and accommodating. The SPA is also well-equipped and with a nice view of the surrounding landscape. Electric car charging stations are also available. The surrounding nature invites for hiking, biking, running, and simply for enjoying the quite spectacular scenery. The dinners at the local restaurant were a delight and again, a good portion of the menu was dedicated to vegan offerings. The staff also took the time to explain the peculiarities of the wines from the region.

This 3-star-superior hotel is beautifully located in the Black Forest, 2.5 mi from the town of Todnau. It offers a large spa and free WiFi access in the whole building. Parking is free.

the building looks very old but all the door can be closed quite silently. no squishy sound for the floor. very good isolation
