Located less than a 1-minute walk from the center of Wanaka, Wanaka Hotel is a 1-minute walk from the lake and town center. Most accommodations offers views over the lake and mountains.

Clean room, comfortable. Like their efforts towards sustainability. There's a common guest kitchen that was useful for us.
Edgewater is located in Wānaka, only 1.2 mi from Wānaka town center. The property offers picturesque lake views, rolling green lawns, spas, a sauna, and a tennis court.
Featuring stunning views out to Lake Wanaka and the mountains, YHA Wanaka offers relaxed and welcoming hostel accommodations.

Good solid hostel in central location. The ongoing works meant that it probably had slightly less of welcoming feel but will be a very solid place when done. I stayed for 2 nights and would recommend the place.

The lake frontage with stunning views of the mountains and lake and choices of eateries catering for vegetarians
Good parking but roadworks made it difficult at times to get around
Would recommend the Big Fig for vegetarians and Charlie Brown for great crepes

We were amazed by the location near the lake with clean air, nice ambience in the Hotel Restaurant, with good food!
I should have reserved 2 or 3 nights there. We booked 3 rooms all of us enjoyed it. Can swim, water activities and more.

Wanaka is the most beautiful place to visit
Wanaka is the most beautiful place to visit
The views of the lake and surrounding area are really stunning. It’s seemed a really peaceful place with just enough to do. Plenty of eating out places to choose from and many activities and places to visit. We will definitely be back.

A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown.
A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown. I could've stayed here weeks. It was a great location to be based at for Roy's Peak Summit, more hiking and days spent by the lake. Bonus activity was a dinner and movie night at Cinema Paradiso. A really lovely town with a very live-able atmosphere.

Wanaka itself is a lovely spot.
Wanaka itself is a lovely spot. It was lovely without being too much of a tourist trap. The art gallery I visited was very good, and the two local restaurants also good and reasonably priced. The staff at the Thai restaurant were especially friendly and helpful. I wish I had stayed long enough to drive out to a few places from Wanaka.
We never got to stay there. We booked, got the confirmation, left the area where we had internet coverage, drove to the hotel and opened the message that informed us that the hotel had double booked the room and we had no where to stay. It was 8 at night. Their only compromise was to offer us another option at almost double the price. It also became my job to go through booking.com to get a refund. Terrible experience with the hotel, especially when they had another place available that probably didn’t get rented out that night.
Pembroke Lodge was very comfortable for our whole family to have an incredible stay in Wanaka.
The lodge is really well positioned only a few minutes walk from the town centre and a minutes walk to the waters edge. The rooms are big and bathrooms and kitchen are really well appointed.
Parking right out front is an added bonus.
Pembroke Lodge is an excellent size with great facilities for a beautiful stay.
We have stayed here about 5 times now and been upgraded twice! :) The location is perfect for us. Easy walking to town centre, and close to Mt Iron, river bike/walking tracks, supermarket and maze. Kids love the playground and pool, and they have bike storage and excellent wifi. Our go-to accommodation when visiting Wanaka. Our daughter also loved how well the staff looked after her toys!
This was a SPECTACULAR home away from home, close to town with magnificent views of the lake and snow capped mountains. It felt like a home not a hotel, and we were so comfortable for our stay in Wanaka. The beds were comfy, it was warm and had everything we needed.
The standard of this hotel was much higher than we expected. The room was immaculate, well furnished and spacious.
There was plenty of parking and only a 5 minutes drive from the lake front and the famous tree.
The guy in reception was friendly and helpful.
The rural setting was beautiful. Waking up to SILENCE was FABULOUS !! Unlike staying in a motel or hotel .... there was no-one else to make noise or interrupt your stay .... THAT, made it all wonderful. We would stay again and recommend it to family and friends.
The rooms in the hostel were cosy and affordable, and very clean. There was a minor issue with my room, but it was not the fault of the hotel, and the staff were very quick to address the issue. The bar and restaurant were also very good and modern.
Great location, walking distance to village centre of Wanaka or other parts if you want to explore. Lots of good walking trails nearby. 2 pools and gym facilities. Comfy beds and having your own garage and washing machine etc is very helpful.
Hotel is located just a short walk down to the lake. Across the road is where the food trucks are, which is actually a great alternative for an evening meal. Room itself is clean and warm, if a little small.
I'm normally a hotel person but I loved Wanaka Top 10. The staff were amazing and the cabins were exceptional. Clean to a very high standard, comfortable and very relaxing. Great family facilities.
The motels were comfortable and warm. The facilities in the studio were clean and adequate. The 2-bedroom apartment had a great laundry, 2 good bathrooms and good living space for a family.
Rooms were spacious and clean. Great location and short walk to nearly everything. The food at the Mexican restaurant attached to the Hotel was excellent. Great views over the lake.
It was my second time at the Edgewater Hotel, and both times the location right on the lakeshore, the clean and cozy room and the friendly staff made my stay absolutely perfect.
Very spacious open plan apartment, great to live in, complete kitchen, laundry facilities and only 2 blocks walk until you find yourself in Wanaka town Center!
Very friendly and welcoming owners. Location is within easy walking distance of downtown Wanaka. The motel was very clean and neat, and quiet. Ample parking.
