when returning to area, i would probably not stay in...
when returning to area, i would probably not stay in Vallorcine, but in either Chamonix (where all the action is) or even Argentière which has excellent Le Fournil Chamoniard Patisserie (come early, by noon all the great stuff is finished) and grocery store . I found we had to drive out of Vallorcine for everything

Our room was very pleasant and comfortable, and we had no problem relaxing. The communal area was a home from home and a place where we were able to take in the great mountain views and enjoy the peaceful location of Vallorcine. We tried Helens Mountain breakfast, and there was plenty of good food provided for a substantial breakfast. Overall, Helen and Steve were great hosts, very hospitable, and we very much enjoyed staying at the Guest House, and certainly would again.

It will be a superb stay if you really love nature and love being far away from the city. The apartment is in a place called Valocrine “ 20 Minutes away from the center of chamonix “ hence, if you are planning to stay away from the busy city it would be really nice to book this apartment. But, if you are really planning to spend some time in chamonix then I would say no because the road is a bit dangerous at night !

The nature is very beautiful, with hiking trails starting right by the guest house. From the start it was a warm welcome by the son of the host. We immediately felt at home away from home. When asking for tips (eating, hiking, etc) Helen would always come up with a perfect plan. Not to mention the absolutely stunning breakfast, what a treat. We absolutely enjoyed our stay to the fullest and can’t wait to come back!AAnonymousNetherlands

This three-bedroom apartment was spacious enough for two adult couples, and the standard of cleanliness was good. We liked the baths in two of the bedrooms - unusual to get two in apartments like this. The apartment was very warm and quiet. The common areas of the building were clean, and the reception staff were very helpful.

Kitchen is equipped very well, there was everything we needed. The host was very nice. We didn't have any problems with the keys. Apartament is located very close to the ski lift. Near beautiful mountains. We would definitelly come here again.

My room was spotless, so comfortable, and the location is great - close to the train station and Vallorcine ski lift + ski shop.
