The classic room with balcony was size wise OK for a few nights' stay. Everything clean, nicely designed. Very good beds. Stylish bathroom where everything worked OK. Enough storing place for summer activities. Skiers may benefit from a bigger room. We very much appreciated the breakfast with a good selection of fruits etc. We opted for half-board, the dinners were delicious, and nicely presented. A good selection of wines. We were very well taken care of during the whole visit. Large private parking, which was included in the room price.

Great skiing area, bigger than looks on the map with extensive safe off piste, in between pistes, around Clos Chardon and l'Homme de Pierre, and in trees everywhere down to the resort.
The lifts are not all modern and the link to Vars is a bit of a complicated affair, but better when you come back. The ski on the Vars side is good too.
Risoul snow front is good and practical with lifts going in all directions. No queues this weekend in January but that wasn't during school holidays. The resort is quite souless being mainly blocks of flat, and the restaurant scene is very low standard. Possibly the worst I have experienced in a ski resort. Limited number of restaurants, Booking is imperative. Food is uninspiring and stodgy. But Risoul is not a high-standard resort. At the same time, the skilifts passes are quite expensive.
I'd suggest to go there for the great ski only, rent a place for four days and cook your fine food yourself!
Our room overlooked the most breathtaking mountains and valley view. The dinners were exquisitely delicious and plentiful. Breakfasts were full of variety. The hotel decor is tasteful and offers a reading lounge, veranda that overlooks the valley and a swimming pool. It was a very quiet and most peaceful 3 day stay. One cannot tire from its splendour. The most amicable and professional proprietors certainly made our stay memorable. Highly recommend the hotel for a restful stay.
The location of the Apartment house Antares is excellent. The mountain view from the living room and balcony is great. You can ski directly from the hotel door and come back in skiing. Apartment has nice wooden flooring and carpeting. Swimming pool is on the second floor and is accessible via elevator. It was clean, but the water should be warmer for the after-ski relaxation.
We stayed on our motorbike trip for one night in this excellent Auberge some minutes up the hillside from Risoul centre. If you look for a quiet place with excellent dinner (fixed menue) and breakfast, this is it. Great mountain views from the dining room, and a swimming pool if you want to cool of.
The view from here is absolutely amazing. I’d driven for 8 hours across europe and arrived late. The hotel seems to be run by one man who happily gave me a beer. I went to bed, woke up and saw the view….. BOOM!
Great location and therefore a very good value for money compared to hotels nearby. Helpful and very responsive host. A few opportunities for improvement listed below but the price is fair and reflecting it.
The view of the location is very beautiful.
We have dinner at hotel, food is very good.
But breakfast too basic not much choice. But they make sure if we need anything for breakfast we can ask.
The apartment was perfectly located for skiing in Risoul and very good value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again.
