easy to get to from Geneva .. hiring a car is best. possibly one of the most beautiful views on planet earth - whether winter or summer. My favourite is summer .. the walks and ancient churches ... the waterfalls and rivers, lakes and forests... perfect.

Vallandry a nice, quiet place without the industrial feel of some ski resorts. Fairly easy access to Les Arcs, and can also get across to La Plagne via the cable car from Peisey. Vallandry a great place for young children to learn as the La Foret blue back to the resort is a nice, winding, gentle blue through the trees, and there are loads of nice blues to learn on, but plenty of tougher runs easily accessible to progress to; much better than Peisey which only has challenging runs back to the resort. Pistes back to Vallandry still useable into mid April, Les Arcs snow still good.

Overall we really enjoyed Hotel Chalet at Tarine. All staff were lovely and could not have been more helpful. Dinner in the evening on Half Board, was excellent and there was a good selection of reasonably priced wine available too. The hotel was spotlessly clean and well run. Breakfast was also very good, although when the hotel was busier, the room was a little tight to get around. We very much appreciated being able to buy our ski passes from Madame and walk to the lift to access Plan Peisey, although this is an uphill walk on the way back!
The hotel is llocated just off the piste and around 200 metres from the ski lift. Our bedroom was ample in size, loads of shelves to store clothing., good view, comfortable bed and the obligatory tv . Bathroom of good size with shower and bath. Room cleaned to a high standard daily. Breakfast was continental,, food was fresh and met our needs. Staff were wonderful and genuine. Felt the hotel represented good value. All in all, had a great stay and would return.
Very friendly hotel in Peisey, I would recommend having the half board option as there aren't that many eating options near hotel - food was excellent and can be swapped for other options (including fondue or raclette). Greg's bar is a good post ski bar which attracts locals as well as hotel residents. Hotel will arrange ski passes and give discount for ski hire at local shop. Has some parking behind but free parking is nearby.
The location was perfect for us, ski in/ski out to 2 lifts, eateries and bar a short walk away. Warm, cosy and friendly little hotel with lovely, helpful staff. The room was very small which we knew beforehand but the bathroom was a good size with great shower and heated towel rail. The room was warm and comfortable and serviced daily. Good value for money.
Céline was kind and responsive before and throughout the stay. She helped us with the Ski Passes, ESF & equipment rental. The staff were nice, food was great in the morning and at dinner (classic french restaurant).
The room was clean and the dtaff cleaned it daily.
The hotel isn't far from the lift. There are couple of stores near by to buy groceries.
The location, the food quality and the attentiveness of everyone from the owners to the staff. We were extremely grateful to Celine, owner of the hotel, for helping us get back to the hotel after we missed the lift down the mountain. Thank you for making our vacation and stay so delightful.
staff is nice, there’s a separate room to leave luggages after check out, we also managed to book shuttle taxi to train station with hotel’s help. room and bed are clean and decent.
