Megève is one of the highest class resorts in the alps and so is a great experience but you don't have to spend a lot to enjoy. The main pedestrian street is great fun to explore. It has truly unique shops and world class galleries and the people watching is most interesting.

Megeve would be a different experience if the snow had arrived in time for our ski trip. As it was, we left half a day early to reach our second destination in Meribel. Meribel's slopes are higher up so they had more snow. Megeve feels like a lovely "locals" spot...plenty of fun runs for all levels if there was more snow on the ground. But you could literally spend an entire week at Les 3 Vallees, just an hour away. The town of Megeve was more charming than Meribel if I had to choose a "charming award"...with it's cobblestone streets and horsedrawn carriages....beautiful shops and outdoor space for food/drink...it's very picturesque. The more energetic apres ski scene is at Meribel...Le Folie Deuce, etc. The food at Nano Cafe was exceptional for lunch in Megeve! And the fun scene at Le Ferme Saint Amour was special...not everyone was in sequins and heels, like they suggest, however. And the entertainment at the early seating was mild, unlike their more festive marketing shots on IG for the restaurant. Service there was wonderful, but it was a spendy meal for the mild entertainment vs our expectations. Perhaps the later seating is different, but with teens we were not offered that option. Just something to note. Hotel lobbies are a great destination for drinks...M Hotel and Park Lodge especially.

Megeve is too expensive, but it's clear that they try to be high-end tourist town. We were there for the Tour de France so we didn't spend much time in the town. I think it has plenty of options also for the winter (skiing).

Once I have checked in the receptionist was pleasant but somewhat confused. I have asked for slippers and bath robe but she answered that I had the lowest entry and it was not possible. Since the hotel was not complete I have told her that I'm a Genius level with Booking to what she replied that she did not what I was talking about and that she will see it with the Manager. Obviously it never happened...These types of little courtesies would really help as while one is constantly being reminded how great are the advantages booking via Booking is is not what it seems to be.
everything. location, view, comfort, cleanliness. probably the most comfortable master bed ever. seriously more comfy than 5 star hotels. Some service was unexpected like hotel style toiletries and slippers.
Teddy and Stephanie were always available when we had questions.
underground parking is a plus with direct access to the apartment. the apartment is on the ground floor and enjoys a patio with a small yard. kids can play in the snow. the outdoor furniture is comfy with a heater and blankets to keep warm.
"I can't describe the beauty of the hotel; it really feels like home. I loved the hotel so much, it is full of positivity and the hotel manager, Therese, gave us a free upgrade to a suite."He was attentive to ensuring our comfort and all our needs were met. Kamal and Fabian were also very helpful with making our restaurant reservations and giving us suggestions. I really cannot describe in words the beauty of this hotel and the kindness of the staff. This hotel will be my home every time I visit Megève
What a lovely hotel. The buildings and the setting are magnificent, the rooms are spacious, well laid out and with great bathrooms. Very comfortable beds and lovely terraces. The breakfast is delicious. Above all, the staff are wonderful: every single one could not be more friendly, helpful or hospitable. They really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Would definitely come back.
This family run hotel is a gem very close to the Rochbrune Cable Car. I live nearby and wanted to have a staycation in order to meet friends for skiing. The Alp Hotel served its purpose. I received a warm welcome from the owners and the staff. I enjoyed dinner in the hotel and breakfast the next morning. Everyone was very helpful when I lost my mobile and then found it in my car! Thank you for my brief stay.
Concierge Mr. Ben was amazing to provide us with the necessary information of the trek and activities suitable for our family. He made the whole experience amazing.
The location of the property just 5min walking from the city center,
The breakfast was full of options and all very good quality,
Restaurants at the property for lunch or dinner were amazing with excellent
SPA with outdoor jacuzzi
The chalet is very clean, kitchen is very well equipped. Very cozy and warm, the living is spacious with a big tv screen! All the rooms were well separated with good privacy and great view from each room. The chalet manager and owners were fantastic and extremely helpful, all informations were sent to us before the stay, even during the stay the manager was responding immediately. Top managed!
the location was good, just out side the main square of Megeve. A 5 minute walk which was nice in the mornings getting to the ski lift. There is a supermarket next door which is well stocked and the Bar/Restaurant in Hotel Rent is nice and handy.
The Apartment was nice, clean and suitable for our party of 7 adults.
The beds were comfortable
There is an idea that when the high management is of a high level, the workers they have are of a high level, but I was surprised by the service that was indifferent and not on the efficiency of the hotel and the reputation that I was accustomed to... at this hotel I preferred to speak to higher management rather than workers.
Beautiful valley views out of the living room window; nice eating room table; several free parkings available close-by; the apartment is a only 20 minute walk away from the center of you’re fit (the walk back home is upwards though); five minute walk to Alpaga Hotel where u can take breakfast / a coffee as external guest
Lovely cozy hotel right in the center of Megeve, great atmosphere and super nice hosts that made our stay really enjoyable. We’d been at the cimes also pre-Covid with our kids and our pet and our stay was equally nice😉small room with a pretty terrace giving us a bit of extra space for the dog.
Nice cosy rooms, extremely friendly and accommodating personnel that attended to all our needs and even more, nice breakfast (as expected though for a good French hotel in that destination) and a good restaurant that offered a dinner equal to the great restaurants in Megeve.
Location was excellent, easy walk to village center and ski lift. Very clean! Hosts were friendly, helpful in navigating the town, and accommodating. Easy check-in and check-out, even when late check-out was requested. We would love to stay again with Michelle and Adam!
Fabulous views over Megeve and the mountains beyond. Very helpful staff who sorted out (at late notice) our transfer to and from the airport. We had a ski injury and they really helped with the logistics of that too, via their free shuttle buses. Thank you.
Proximity to the Rochebrune lift was fantastic. Ski room within apartment complex opens to a set of stairs which are 30 metres up to the lift. Short easy walk into Megeve town. Spacious apartment.
