The location was perfect. It was a 10-min walk to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes and Bernadette’s grotto with many cafes and restaurants nearby. There is free parking available but it is a complicated drive and a 15-min walk back to the hotel. You can drop your luggage first. It was raining so we opted for the parking garage across the street. 12 Euro per night, I think.
The front desk staff is fantastic. There is a very nice bar off the lobby. The room was well equipped and very clean with maid service every day. We stayed two nights. Highly recommend.

It is very close to the grotto. It is a nice hotel. I very much liked my room and the hotel. The bathroom was truly spacious. The front desk is very accommodating and very helpful.
Here is some important information about the rooms. This hotel offers superior and deluxe rooms. The superior rooms are cheaper and seem newer and bigger, have larger restrooms and comfortable furniture. The deluxe rooms seem smaller and have less comfortable furniture, though they have a view and a larger tv. I think the superior rooms are all in another building, which in my opinion seems newer and fresher. I definitely recommend the superior to the deluxe rooms. I was originally placed in a deluxe room and upon seeing it asked the front desk if I could see a superior room and they were able to give me a superior room, which I thought was much better. Though I think this hotel only uses the words superior and deluxe to describe rooms on booking, as at the front desk these rooms were referred to as rooms with and without views. I was given a superior twin room, which was very large and came with a super comfy and large foam chair, and a nice desk with another comfortable chair. My dad was given a superior double room, which though not nearly large as my specific twin room, was comfortable and came with a balcony, though his room only came with a chair for his desk, and in the booking pictures, the superior room come with a foam chair.

We had a lovely time.
We had a lovely time. We wish there were staff who speak English at least to find out what time the daily mass. We had the greatest difficulty on Mercy Sunday to find the mass schedule what time the masses and where it is going to be? Even the Nuns cannot understand English. We were taken totally surprised there were not special celebration at Lourdes for Mercy Sunday like other churches around the world for Catholics. Cathedral was completely open for regular visitors that’s it. Suggestion at least outside the CATHEDRAL on both front entrances to have the weekly mass schedule plus where it is going to be listed in all common languages. French, English, Spanish, Tamil, German & Portugal. The tourists who are visiting the shrine will appreciate it so much. We spend more than half hour asking five people including two nuns each one was giving us a different answer. This is not a complaint. A suggestion for convenience for tourists. Finally we left. We got up early that morning by 8:45 a.m. we were at the Shrine. Finally we prayed and left. We spent our entire Saturday 4/6/2024 at the Shrine had a lovely time. Able to attend for two masses inside the Cathedral.

No bus seen.
No bus seen. If you don't mind walking you will love Lourdes.
Shops close early as do places to eat. I was told that more eating places in the City Centre. Everyone friendly.
You don't have to pay to visit the grotto. Did see a mini train that took you round the city. If we had time we would have boarded the train. We tended to walk everyway. Peaceful, tranquil.

We used Lourdes as a base to stay while we were in the region for a cycling holiday. its a perfect location to base yourself for such a holiday as there is easy access to a lot of the iconic climbs in the Pyrenees. we found access to restaurants very easy and plentiful. even if you are not the religious type it is still worth a trip to see the grotto and all associated with it. It is worth a trip to Lourdes but there is plenty more to see outside of it.

We love Lourdes! This was about our seventh time to visit.
We love Lourdes! This was about our seventh time to visit. Our favorite spot, of course, is the shrine. It's absolutely beautiful. The city is walkable, but getting to and from the train station and airport is not as easy. The train station isn't far away, but we don't walk as well now, in our old age.
We ate at a variety of cafes. The food at the cafes where we ate isn't great-- pilgrims will eat and usually not worry about the food, so most cafes seem to offer just the basics. The most enjoyable ones for us are the ones on the main route to the shrine, but uptown a little away from the main stream of tourists, because we like to sit over our coffee and cokes and relax. We like those ones the best. We are not there for the food, so we haven't really tried anything beyond the quick and easy cafes.
Aside from walking around every inch of the shrine, we love going up to the Pic du Jer on the funicular, and going to the market in town. An absolute best place to shop is with the Poor Clares, 78 Rue de la Grotte. They have a little shop with an eclectic mix of bits and bobs. This is a can't miss stop for me. I also love the antiques shops: Antiquitees Brocantes, 10 Rue Baron Duprat is a favorite.
Next time, because we're older, we'll choose a hotel just a bit closer to the shrine.
The hotel is very close to the Lourdes sanctuary, just a short 10-minute walk away, and it's even closer to the Lourdes railway station. You'll find many restaurants and shops nearby. The owner is exceptionally friendly, nice, and always ready to help. The price for the facilities offered was quite reasonable. Plus, the view from the room's window, with the fort and mountains, was truly breathtaking.
I liked the cleanliness and the demeanor of the hotel staff. I also liked the location. If the dining room had been open, I would've found it excellent. Sadly that was not the case. Understandable, because it was off-season. So excused. Altogether, I enjoyed my stay. I'll definitely recommend it to my friends who wish to visit Lourdes for pilgrimage ☺️
The location is excellent - easy walking to the Lourdes Sanctuary. A hotel with Olde Worlde charm. The staff were excellent - Christophe checked us in at 2am after travel disruption delayed our arrival. Then Monste, at reception, went above and beyond the call to help us sort a flat car battery on departure. We were so grateful for her assistance.
I ve been to Lourdes few yrs ago. My First time to stay at Appart’hotel Leperin. Everything is very good. Staff, room, location, all great. I Will definitely stay here again and will recommend to my friends and family!! The front lady Patricia is well knowledgeable. She’s helpful! 💯 % 👍
This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Lourdes, on the river bank, close to the sanctuary, museums, shops and restaurants. Great views from the balcony of our room, which was cleaned daily, unlike in other such hotels. A very nice staff helps all guests with everything they asked.
Basic and cheap hotel for pilgrims, but functional, nice and clean.
Friendly staff, and you have the choice to have dinner there also, which is practical in the very touristic Lourdes.
Good location, close to the railway station and in walking distance to town centre and the sanctuary.
The staff is very friendly and they received us in a very nice manner. They also have a restaurant in the hotel with good prices and delicious French menu. Our trip to the Sanctuary of the Lady of Lourdes was completed with the very friendly hosting.
Continental breakfast is good enough to start the day off. Selection of breads were excellent. Location of hotel is great…everything was walking distance: the Basilica of Our Lady of Lourdes, restaurants & souvenir shops.
The place was run by the wonderful Frederique! She warmly greeted us upon arrival and gave us a helpful information about the hotel. Then the very next morning made us a very filling breakfast.
The location was very convenient, a short walk to the Sanctuary of our Lady of Lourdes. Many restaurant and store options nearby, convenient parking in front of the hotel.
The hotel is very close from our Lady of Lourdes sanctuary. House of St. Bernadette is just around the corner. The room is just fine. Breakfast is basic.
