Great ski resort, nice runs for snowboarding and not too busy. The best thing about Grand Bournand was the friendliness of the local people. Everyone we met was so good-humoured, really enjoyed that.

it is a lovely village with a lot of character and genuine cultural identity where you can find all you need. People are very welcoming, restaurants are excellent and you can find several shops proposing delicious local products and the boulangeries are really gorgeous. It's an easy ideal place for skiing, with great slops for every level of skier and very well organized infrastructures. The local tourist office is very helpful and efficient and the ski instructors are really nice and competent.

Le Grand-Bornand is a lovely, pretty French town.
Le Grand-Bornand is a lovely, pretty French town. It can get very busy during the school holidays. Ice-skating, cinema, weekly market, plenty of restaurants and great skiing! Skiing good for families as there are lots of green and blue wide runs. Le GB is only 30 minutes away from Annecy, which is a beautiful town.

Beautiful little town located in the French Alps.
Beautiful little town located in the French Alps. Appx 45 minute drive from Geneva and appx 20 minutes from Annecy by car.
Our hotel, Logis La Croix-Saint Maurice, was right in the heart of the town and it has a great atmosphere in the evenings in the bars and restaurants. Stunning views of the mountains from our room as well and the staff were very friendly and spoke very good English.
The bakery is very popular with fresh bread and cakes made every day.
Also very popular with families as there are outdoor pools, a mini golf course, carousel and a zip-line.
Great for anyone who loves hiking/walking, mountain biking, tranquility and winter sports.

We were actually staying in Le Chinaillon which is the village a few km beyond Grand Bornand. It is one of our favourite places to ski as it is not too big and has not yet been overdeveloped. There are enough shops and restaurants in the village for all your basic needs. As with most ski resorts now the ski buses are frequent and cover a good part of the main village.

Le Grand-Bornand has retained its village feel to it and as such is s fantastic location for any holiday. Plenty of restaurants mixed with a few supermarkets for those in self catering. A few bars that are welcoming and the usual ski shops which are very reasonably priced. 2nd year to Le Grand-Bornand and it won’t be our last. Easy to get around the ski infrastructure even though some lifts are a little slow, but just enjoy the ride and scenery. For those who go flying past on the motorway to the better known ski resorts, you honestly don’t know what you are missing.

Hôtel very well situated (not far by car from Chamonix and Mégève) and well placed beside 2 pistes of ski where the bus (free access not payed) passes in front of the hotel to pick up passengers. Hotel placed in the city center in a high point that if you took a room with mountains view you will benefit from a very nice on the mountains and all Christmas activities in the city center (Christmas tree and Noël supermarket). Room of children was separated from parents’ room which was good too for some privacy. Hotel very proper and clean.
The chalet and location were both absolutely beautiful! There's so much to do within the local town and there's a great communal feel to it. Lots of restaurants and bars on your doorsteps, as well as supermarkets in the neighboring towns. We'd highly recommend eating at La Croix Saint Maurice and La Boheme in the town. The ski/summer lifts are a must, as well as Lac Annecy, which is a short drive away. Ingrid, the host, was very welcoming and helpful at all times. We look forward to revisiting again in the near future!
It was a quaint little hotel! The spa was really nice, and the breakfast was good. The room was comfortable, and we had a beautiful view of snowy rooftops. The bathroom was nice and clean, and the slate tiles in the shower were really nice. We didn't have time to do it, but there's an ice skating rink literally right next door to the hotel, which is a nice perk to this location.
We also enjoyed being able to rent/return our ski materials from a shop connected with the hotel. It was great!
The views from the sunny veranda were wonderful. The weather was mixed during our stay which I imagine is usual in the mountains- the interior stayed a constant pleasant temperature of seemingly cool when hot outside and warm in the chillier mornings. We stayed in summer but I imagine it would be also warm and cosy in winter.
The kitchen had loads of crockery and utensils which made self catering a lot easier. The agency and owner were very helpful with communications and information.
Room's were cosy but clean and fun modern design, the spa was great, unpretentious and well organised. We always spoke to reception in the morning when we were off to go skiing for a slot into the hot tub and sauna in the evening, couldn't have been simpler. The restaurant served excellent food, although it could do with one or two more veggie options and the staff were all fantastic. We will definitely come and stay here again.
Very good communication from the property. Lovely apartment, very clean and comfortable, good kitchenette. Great to have a UK and a European pillow per bed. I like that the kitchen cleaning kit was sufficient for a week (often get 2 dishwasher tabs!) The ski locker was amazing, glove, helmet, and boot warmer / drier, plenty of space.
Lots of hot water and good pressure. Great location opposite the lifts
Pool area was lovely
Amazing location. 10 mins walk from the ski hire and telecabine and we were on the mountain in no time. The village is such a picturesque resort, classic wooden chalets every where and shops,.restaurants and bars in the village.
Bastien was also really accommodating. We self checked in at 1am, and then he came to say hi in the morning. He was also really flexible and let us leave our suitcase there for our last days ski.
What a breathtaking location! I guess it's great in every season. We were there in the summer and had a ball hiking in the mountains and driving to the Mont Blanc. The host was very helpful and everything went really uncomplicated. You can start walking right from your bed and reach the mountains or a shop in no time.
The breakfast buffet (not included, but not expensive) was great, mini pancakes, muesli, coffee, pastries, bread, etc.
the lady at the front desk was very nice.
we took the bus to the ski slopes, free, and close by.
The apartment is simple but cozy. It’s very well equipped (in the kitchen you will find everything you need). It’s very well situated (close to shops and restaurants). Perfect for hiking (even with small kids).
We stayed in the chalet and it is quite nice though the staircase for getting to the upper floor is not suitable for the elderly and families with small children.
Really friendly and charming hotel, great breakfast, comfortable, everything worked, solid spa area, and so CLEAN, which I always love the most in a hotel.
