The village was very charming with cobbled streets and beautiful buildings. We ate at La Romanche three times during our stay and loved it. There was also a little cafe at the corner a couple doors away from La Romanche that had delicious crepes! We loved the Saturday farmers' market with fresh produce, cheese and meat among many other delicious food.

We holidayed in Bourg d'Oisans because of its fame as being one of the most important areas in the Tour de France. It is literally at the foot of the iconic Alpe d'Huez, which anyone will know if they follow Cycle road racing. So there are lots of cyclists here, trying their luck at the many Tour de France climbs on offer, but it is also an attractive town in its own right, surrounded on every side by high mountains. If you like the mountain environment, then you will like Bourg d'Oisans.

A superb farmhouse fitted out to a very high specification.
A superb farmhouse fitted out to a very high specification. Very peaceful with sunshine in the afternoon. It lies on a greenway/cycle route and is within walking distance of Bourg town centre. The owner Isabel is great and speaks good English. We went for a cycling holiday - this area is simply brilliant for those pretending to ride the Tour de France. Bourg is a lovely Alpine valley traditional village with a great street market on Saturday (is there such a thing as a bad French street market?) and a good choice of restaurants and shops. The weather (July) was also superb. The large ski lifts were working for hikers and mountain bikers if that is your thing. Top!

Lovely town at the foot of Le Alpe Du Huez making it the perfect location for exploring the area. It has a number of bars and restaurants and a market on Saturday morning. The views of the mountains are spectacular especially when they are snow peaked as they're when we arrived.
Opposite Carrefore Express on the Avenue de la republic is an excellent restaurant although i don't have the name of it the staff and the food was first class and the car park is next door you can't miss it.

If you like bicycles, this is a place you should visit once in a life.
There are no easy mountains around here, but it's a great experience. There are also plenty of rental bike shops, so you can easily challenge.
I would recommend.
Some shops are closed except in high season.
Also, be careful because the restaurant closes quickly. (9pm)

Hotel right opposite the bus terminal so very handy - lots of free buses round the village
Hotel was comfortable, clean - and although we did not need, a good car park.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfy beds. Breakfast was included in our cost and was fine - not sure I would have paid the normal 10.50euros for it though. Evening dinner was also there is needed altho you could eat cheaper in the Village and have more variety
One night only, perfectly adequate for what we needed.
Did have a small balcony which helped as the room was quite small.
Very good location, only a two minute walk into the town centre.
Good to get private yard parking round the back of the Hotel
Breakfast was very good and extensive. My room had quite an interesting bathroom setup, looked like a small sauna from outside. Really good facilities.
The view from the hotel is absolutely stunning, located inside a valley surrounded by mountains.
friendly owner, lovely room, very clean and nice breakfast, free wifi.
You have a code to enter the hotel whenever it suits you.
Although it was next to a busy raod the noise was minimal.
We would book again and recommend to friends!
Such a nice hotel. With a great pool and outside facilities. The rooms are beautiful and you can see that the owner had put a lot of effort to make the hotel really pretty. The comfort was perfect with nice beds and a tasty breakfast!
Breakfast and dinner were very good. The hotel is a bit like a good quality youth hostel, attracting many walkers and cyclists, so a communal dinner outside at a long table was a nice feature.
excellent location and staff. Charming old hotel full of collectables. Beautiful , pool, view of the mountains. The host Cristel went out of her way to make everyone staff perfect!
The hotel was ideally located for cycling with all of the facilities a cyclist would require. staff were friendly and a great breakfast. we had a very big comfortable room.
The owner was super helpful, responsive and has multiple languages. The hotel itself was quirky, had a sensational feel, and I would stay here again without hesitation
Really enjoyed our two night stay for our bike ride up Alpe d’Huez. The area is beautiful, the hotel met all our needs and was clean. What more could we ask for.
Breakfast was amazing. Local cheeses, fresh baguettes etc. Simple, perfect. Recently modernised hotel, value for money, friendly and welcoming. Really nice.
Very clean and well equipped.
Our children really enjoyed the facilities in hotel lounge.
The outdoor sauna was a lovely way to relax after a days skiing.
