La Bresse is a picturesque small French town with all the facilities you would expect (supermarket, bakeries, butchers, swimming pool etc.). The ski area is a c. 10 minute drive from La Bresse. There is a ski bus to and from the town but we did not use it and did not see others using it, but were assured that it did exist! The ski area is perfect for beginners and early intermediates looking to build confidence. More experienced skiers would probably be frustrated by the limited area (only one black run). Its low altitude means lots of very attractive tree lined pistes. Also floodlit evening skiing is available (additional lift pass required).

The area is amazing!
The area is amazing! The region is beautiful with lakes and mountains, with hiking options for all levels of fitness. There are also trails for road and mountain bike. In winter there are several ski slopes. The food is very good and the local cheeses are delicious.

Being the only guests on an off-season weekday, we may have benefitted from an upgrade to a very generous suite of some 60sq.m. Although there were only two of us, the lady of the house in no way skimped in putting on the full repertoire for the buffet breakfast, which almost gave us a bad conscience. Can highly recommend both the property and the warm welcome.
