Gerardmer is in the beautiful and dense pine forest of the Vosges. It is perfect for hiking, whether it be short and easy around the lake or hard and rocky up the mountain to visit the observation tower. Water falls and isolated villages are abundant.
On the shores of the lake is a nice park and playground for young children and the San Remo Italian restaurant in the town was excellent for young and old.

Great place for nice walks in the mountain, with a lot of choices on the duration, and not too difficult. Great place in summer for enjoying a cool splash in the lake, from multiple small beaches, for free. Water temperature during our stay mid August 24 degrees C ! Popular place but not too crowdy and globally relaxed atmosphere

Small town set in ring of mountains (Vosges).
Small town set in ring of mountains (Vosges).
The town itself isn't terribly interesting.
Main attraction is its lake & proximity to ski-slopes/hiking paths further up. There's a path around the lake which is good for a run (6km) and in summer one can swim in lake.
We visited the place out-of-season for a quiet w-end.
Not sure we'd want to be there in season 'Summer/skiing period (when snow) with the madding crowd.
But Spring and Autumn must be very pleasant.
The gîte was very clean, calm and within 3 minutes from the center of Gérardmer. A great plus: our dog was allowed and a fun coincidence was that the host had the same dog. Connection was made instantly! Everything was very cozy and the little terrace was just enough for a apéritif outside in the sun. The bathroom was very new with some cool ambient lights!
Very nice old French house with lot’s of space! Perfect for large families or groups. Really centrally located in Gérardmer, very close to the lake. We went mountainbiking and were able to store our mountainbikes in a locked shed. All the amenities you can think off are available. Would definitely recommend and book again.
Very good location. Beautiful view of the lake.
Very friendly host, always happy to help and to recommend good places to eat.
Parking was available in front of the property, and my cat was welcome, which was a massive "plus" to us since our pet has to take medication at the moment.
We really recommend this place.
Perfect little get away with beautiful Spa and beautiful views. Well equipped, comfortable apartment with lots of amenities. Space for 6 people with comfortable beds - baby cot additionally available!
Check-in/-out was very easy and smooth, communication was pro-active, very clear and generous.
The hotel was extremely cosy. The lighting, decor and seating in the lounge area was all perfectly done in wood and leather, with throws and blankets.
The room was slightly small, but complete. It was spotless, with no sign of dust or damage.
Will happily choose the same hotel next time.
We had a lovely week! The location and the hosts are amazing: the place is fully equipped and just renovated.
Delphine is really kind and went out of her way to make us feel welcome! The breakfast is delicious, and the 'table d'hôte' option is also a great plan.
Totally recommended!
The location of the hotel was fantastic, right on the lakeside. The view from the room was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu selection was good, and a vast selection of jams on offer at breakfast.
The hotel was in a good location. It was at the top of the lake with a picturesque 25 minute walk/5 minute drive into town. The breakfast was ok but there are plenty of places nearby to get great food.
I have now stayed in Les Adrets twice and I was delighted with the chalet each time. The view from the chalet is beautiful. It is a short drive to both Gerardmer town centre and the ski slopes.
The hotel had a great breakfast. Staff was friendly and helped us throughout our stay.
The location is great, quite central, right next to the Office de Tourisme.
