The town has plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and all amenities. It is a manageable size and can be explored easily on foot from wherever a car is parked. The scenery around the town is also beautiful and worth making an excursion. It is also a stop on the Tour de France on 25 July so expect heavy traffic around that time.

For me, it is the opposite of other peoples' description of the country and the people in general. I find the place safe, clean, and lively (Friday evening is happy and wonderful.) The people are helpful and cheerful. Eating out is unbelievably cheaper than in London. In general, the place and the people are adorable.
Nice and friendly welcome.
Room size small but had all one can expect from a 3 stars hotel located in the heart of a city : streets noisy but once the window was closed it was just fine. AC worked fine and not too noisy.
The underground parking 3 minutes walk from he hotel was just great and, at 5 euros, very reasonably priced.
Breakfast was a good surprise : good choice, fresh fruits, cheese, meat, eggs and sausages...
Excellent value for money. Staff were really friendly. Hotel has a nice outside terrace area for drinks and breakfast. The hotel owners have their own restaurant about 5 minutes away which looked really nice, but we really enjoyed the Pizza Restaurant just down the road. If staying in Gap again I would definitely stay here :-)
we stayed with IBIS concern several times. always satisfactory. Always for 1 night . Passing through on the road to......Rooms are not big. But we need the room just to sleep. Parking for the motorbikes. in the garage.Breakfast is always well organized. close to the Centre.
Very comfortable hotel room, great bathroom, nice balcony, great restaurant.
A little out of town. You can walk down to town easily enough but the walk back will be a challenge. But Gap has a free bus service and #8 bus drops you reasonably close to the hotel.
The apartment was clean when we arrived.
The location right above the city main plaza was very practical for some aspects (the kids loved watching the Christmas lights outside and they were eagerly waiting for the carrousel to open at 10am!)
Nice sized room in a well appointed hotel just outside of town, with free parking which is a plus. The pool and garden bar were great. Highly recommend the restaurant -- good food served on a gorgeous terrace. Will definitely come again.
Hotel is in a nice place, quiet and surrounded by nature. The owner and staff are very friendly. White, clean sheets and towels. Wifi at the reception works well. Bed is old, but comfortable, as are pillows.
Very clean and well appointed, right in the center of Gap. Windows able to be opened, clothes washer and dryer very much appreciated. A great place to stay in Gap.
