Traveling in the shoulder season when mountain resort towns are closing down, it was a treat to have a kitchenette. The hotel is in center of town with free parking all around. The staff was friendly, kind and extremely professional.

A nice ski town, not too big but with everything you need in walking distance. My favorite part was Pont d’Espagne. We went snowshoeing and sledding. It had just snowed and it was absolutely magical. But make sure you buy snow tires! At first our car couldn’t make up the hill.

Cauterets is a pretty little town which offers lots of activities for the whole family.
We played mini golf, went to see an ice hockey match, saw a free blues concert. My son went to a bubble dance party and had great fun with the water spray on the main square. We went hiking, the scenery is superb. My son loved the free activities offered by the National Park of the Pyrenees Association.
There are also arcades(2euros for each game).
The town feels very safe as well.
We are planning to go back next year.

A great base for hiking in the Haute Pyrenees, with access to great family hikes and backcountry within a day's hike away. The town has an abundance of great restaurants and family-run shops the suit a variety of budgets. Lots of amenities but still retains a village character.

Great place for a family.
Great place for a family. Skiing was very good for the children and lots of things to do. Some great restaurants and a very quiet place. Have been many times both in summer for walking and winter for skiing.

Quaint village with a relaxed, calm feel about it.
Quaint village with a relaxed, calm feel about it. It is located very close to Pont d'Espagne and Gavarnie which are two of the best places in the Pyrenees to hike. Cauterets is well equipped for visitors with parking areas around the village. It is quite quiet in the evenings despite being a pretty popular area with hikers. If it is partying you are looking for, it probably is not the best place for you. If you want a quiet, relaxing picturesque French mountain village from which to do a few days of excellent hiking, then Cauterets is the perfect place for you. There are a number of restaurants but not too many so I would choose a hotel that offers meals in house.
We absolutely loved Les Ruisseaux and would love to stay there again and again. The hotel was amazing in every way - cozy, clean, comfortable. The husband/wife owners were so friendly and warm. Their breakfasts were fantastic with homemade cheese, bread, jams, and yogurt, and meat and produce from local farms.
This hotel was all about charm and kindness, a journey into the past that despite some winding routes to our room and tight spots only made the hotel more charming. If you want Holiday Inns, this is not for you. If you love charm and kindness and appreciation of history, stay here.
The location was great, 7 min walk from town's center but in a very quiet street.
Apartment was quite spacious and clean.
Host responded to our questions very quickly.
Furniture was comfortable.
Toilet and bathroom were 2 separate rooms.
Nice pictures on walls.

Hotel centrally located in Cauterets. Friendly staff. The spa area was very nice and not crowded despite high season (Tour de France passing the day after). We had a studio with small kitchen that was functional.
Great location looking across the valley, lovely generous hosts. Excellent kitchen with everything you could possibly want. Washing machine and parking. Wifi worked well everywhere.
Owners are very welcoming. Rooms are comfortable. They serve dinner at an extra cost and it was very good and well presented. Location is close to mountains, ski areas and hiking.
Superb location right in the middle of Cauterets.
Great large outdoor terrace with nice furniture.
Very comfortable beds. Lovely character to apartment in such an old building.
The location is in the heart of Cauterets. Our room had stunning views of the main streets and mountains. A perfect base for nearby hiking in the stunning Pyrenees!
The hotel is slightly off the main street, and rooms are being updated. Very charming, personable family running the place. High ceilings, room had a terrace.
