The old town was beautiful, but outside of that was difficult to get around as not much public transport. Used my bike and walking a lot for the majority of my stay. Some great restaurants to explore.

Great varierty of restaurants and shops. Everyone very friendly. Easy to park not very expensive. Paths cleared of snow. Lots to see and do that don't cost anything. Good choice for active travellers because nestled in the intersection of several valleys (great possibilities for biking and hiking). Stayed in the summer for a cycling holiday. The new and old sides of Briancon are a travellers delight. You are not far from a number of popular cycling routes including the Col D’Izoard and Galbier. I will return
