The health spa, which claimed to be the hottest was really cold inside and out. The website looked good but we were spoilt by going to Bains de Saint Thomas first.
Strangely, there was a public pool across from the spa which you could probably boil an egg in!

Cute spa town and a very good base for walking in the area.
Cute spa town and a very good base for walking in the area. We didn't eat out as the creperie was closed for their annual holidays but would definitely recommend the bakery called Saveurs D'ariege for delicious bread and local blueberry pastries.

Love the Baths and teh town centre is nice, think the nightlife leaves a bit to be desired and at busy times can struggle to get a decent restaurant. Only one bar open late which wwas consequently packed and no live music anywhere.

We went there to see some snow on Xmas but, unfortunately, it's unpredictable. Though, we found some in Andorra, that is very close by. Very cosy town with rich history, nice to have a walk around. We had dinner in the Chinese restaurant in the centre one night and it was really good, not expensive but great variety and very hospitable staff.

Visited here for the Couloubret baths initially five years ago and we've been back to Ax several times. Good hiking in the area. Good food. Our favourite restaurant is the Grand Cafe. Nice places to have just a drink or an ice cream and to sit in the square and relax. Markets twice a week.

Rather boring place with restaurants that are not very good and very overpriced. Generally an unfriendly vibe in the town. Nice scenery but this is really a winter resort and not a good place to visit in the summer. It feels like everyone is just killing time waiting for the ski season to start again. Consequently a bit of a flat and uninspiring atmosphere.
Absolutely stunning location. The photo with the pool with mountains in the background and fantastic weather … it’s all true. We visited in August, we fell in love with the place and would love to come back there. We drove 1400km from the UK to Ax-les-Thermes, AND it’s worth it. My children loved the place, we loved the food in local restaurants and the views that are breathtaking..
We had no problem at all.. Sergé, host/menager was very visible and always had a great advice what to visit in the area.
Strongly recommend this place
This hotel is a once in a lifetime experience! High on a mountain edge overlooking the township of Ax-les-Thermes , the view becomes even more stunning at night when the town lights up and the rustling of the stream below can be heard. I loved the enormous french bedroom with high ceilings, ensuite and balcony. Breakfast was a delight in the spacious dining room with individual attention given to each guest. I would definitely return anytime and bring along some friends to share the delightful atmosphere this heritage gem provides.
Very clean and friendly hotel. Simple continental breakfast with a good selection and great coffee. Family room slept five very comfortably, with nice views and good number of towels for all of us. There is a bar and we enjoyed drinks outside. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Easy walk into town. Overall, very good value for money.
This Chateau is located on the top of a hill overlooking Ax-Les-Thermes. The view from our bedroom was undescribable in the morning and at night! The location is amazing, and we had a magical night in this beautiful chateau!
The host was so nice and welcoming! Would definitely visit again!
The hotel exceeded my expectations. It was cozy, clean and perfectly located. THe staff was nice and everything went smoothly. It's right in front of the thermes and very close to the main street and square where all the restaurants are. Nice place to stay and rest after your hiking trips.
What can I say, the location and the chalet are stunning, with views across Ax-les-Thermes towards the 3 Domains ski area. This on top of a warm welcome from Nadine & Stef who were fantastic hosts.
I can't recommend the apartment highly enough.
The location just outside of Ax-les-Thermes was ideal for touring the surrounding mountain region, and the peace and quiet at night were just fantastic. The owners were lovely - thanks again for filling our thermos so many times!
Hosts were very friendly and their Pets too. The sorrounding and the panoramic view on Ax-les-Thermes were stunning.
There was also a Gas-Barbecue, which we used. It was really charming in the garden.
Big room, warm hotel, very friendly owner. Nice building.. Excellent value for money and with car very easy and quick access to ski lifts, restaurants and shoos.
