Auris is a nice little village however if you are going anywhere outside of Auris it is a pain to get too. Also the people in shops and cafes are not too nice and don’t speak English (or don’t want to). The lady from the accomodation agency was lovely but the accomodation is pretty bad. Extremely uncomfortable, no essentials, no duvets, old pillows, even if you pay for bed linnen you don’t get duvet covers for the scratchy blankets that they provide… stingy and just not pleasant. You get absolutely nothing. Rip off for money. And its not cheap!!

Great place to Ski as linked to Alpes D huez, very quiet...
Great place to Ski as linked to Alpes D huez, very quiet resort with fab slopes for beginners and great to let the kids loose on while you watch from the bar at the bottom. We have been lucky with the snow 2 April’s running but if it hadn’t been good it’s only 10 mins to the link over the valley. Had 2 very good holidays at a great price with an excellent ski area.
Very good value for money, close to ski slopes and very friendly and efficient staff. Fantastic views from apartment. Very prompt return of deposit. Good secure ski lockers and quiet peaceful location. Auris is a pleasant resort with access to Alpe d'Huez via 3 chairlifts and it has a good ski area which is much quieter and less crowded than Alpe d'Huez but still has plenty of good terrain to explore.
Incredible nice staff, dogs and owner! We were the first guest of the season and had the hotel for ourselves. Not even the cook started so she made us the best dinner and breakfast. The location is superb for hiking. Lots of trails and super to hike during summer. You can start at the hotel and walk for hours. Beautiful view from the room. Parking at the towns square. Easy access to the hotel.
Quiet location in a beautiful setting. Ideally located, walking distance to Auris but feels isolated and tranquil. Beds were comfortable, sheets were provided and the onsite restaurant was very nice, with new set menus every night and fresh continental breakfasts every morning. Friendly management. Very quiet accommodation, which suited us, but wouldn't be appropriate for loud group.
A different way of doing things when it comes to
the cost, but try not to be put off by the other
comments around this subject about this hotel.
It’s a great place to stay. The staff are friendly
and helpful, even in the busy time of the Tour de
France when they were extremely busy. The setting
is awesome and the view is spectacular.
Close to the skilifts of Auris. Apartments and common are very clean. Nice swimming pool for kids to enjoy after a day skiing. Lots of shops and some restaurants right in front of the residence. Staff were great.
