Great place to stay if you like outdoor activities.
Great place to stay if you like outdoor activities. We made a great hike in Oulanka national park. Starting point in Juuma. 12km walk took us about 5 hours including self prepared lunch at one of the fire places you find on the walk. Don’t forget to bring some sausages to grill. Wood is available for free.

The owner helped us out immediately, gave her another room with a fridge, microwave, prepared meals for her. They were super friendly, the food they prepared was amazing (don't go to town to eat!), the location is super: near a busy road, but you do not hear any noise and there is a huge lake behind the hotel. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place!! Thank you very much for your help!!!!

It is managed by a local lady that has been doing it for 30 years, and really gives it a homey feeling, preparing whatever you want for breakfast. The whole hotel feels very cosy and local. Location is excellent on the outskirts of Kuusamo, in a very calm place by a lake. We had the big room / apartment with a little kitchenette that came in very handy for hot chocolates, as well as a sauna.

Good cross-country skiing tracks that are constantly maintained. Very good breakfast and the best coffee I have drunk in any Finnish hotels. Snowshoes for hire and not expensive. Good that you can use the spa even more than once a day (provided that you buy that type of room). Car rental is available at the airport that is some 6 km-s from the hotel.

And the calmness despite it is a bigger appartment building. The host asked at the second day via message, if everything is alright, which I found very nice, since you have no contact with the host otherwise. Highly recommendable and a pleasant change from bigger hotels in the leisure areas.

When we arrived at 10.30 am, we just asked at the lobby and our room ks ready. We totally relief as can get early check in because all of our 3 kids (1.5 years old , 4 & 6 years old) really happy can rest . All really convenience. Angry bird park, spa, view of the lake. Everything is awesome !

The Host was helpful and available for any request. We stayed 6 nights and choosing a house instead of an hotel was the right choose because for dinner there is a really low offer in Kuusamo.
