We didn't see much of Kittila as the trip was mainly to visit Levi!! We stayed in Hotelli Kittila, which was great value, very comfortable and a superb breakfast!! And - it was only 10 minutes drive from the airport! On the first morning we went to the Snow Village where we had a guided tour - superb venue with amazing snow and ice sculptures. On the evening of the second day, we had arranged a Snow Cat expedition. This took us up the slopes to the top of the Gondela 2000 cable car route, from where, in the freezing cold (-20 with windchill!!), we were able to see the Aurora!! Not a magical bouncing display, but still the Aurora!!

You will get an entire apartment at basically less than half the price of any other hotel rooms in the area. We were so pleasantly surprised to find out this apartment was also fully equipped, with anything one might need, with the sauna being the cherry on top. Just the perfect stay in Levi.

So we booked whatever we found with the lowest price. We weren’t disappointed! It’s a good location for aurora viewing! There were a couple of individuals who took really good care of us the next day when we had a bit of an personal matter unrelated to the hotel.
