This was hands down the best hotel stay I have ever experienced! From the moment we arrived, the staff at Lapland were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. One of the highlights of our room was the private sauna—it was absolutely amazing and added a unique touch to our relaxation time. I highly recommend booking a room with a sauna for a truly different kind of experience.
The food at the hotel restaurant was also a standout. Every meal was delicious, featuring a great variety of flavors that cater to all palates. Whether you’re here for relaxation or adventure, Lapland provides a perfect blend of comfort, quality service, and exceptional amenities. I can’t wait to return!

We absolutely loved this hotel! It is in a wonderful, easily walkable neighborhood and close to many bars, restaurants, and shops. The room was clean and much larger than most rooms in Europe. The hotel staff went above and beyond to help us. They even knew that our plane left very early and made to-go breakfast bags for us. Whoever is in charge of hiring their front desk staff is doing a great job! We will definitely chose this hotel again when we return to Helsinki.

Scratch beneath the small-town surface of Helsinki and you will find a cosmopolitan metropolis buzzing with a lively attitude and plenty of excitement. The relatively short-lived summer offers the best chance to appreciate the outdoors and sit on one of the popular café terraces, or even hit the Hietaniemi Beach, all of which can be enjoyed during the 20 hours of daylight.
Strolling around the streets of Helsinki will reveal an Empire-style of architecture, comparable to St. Petersburg. The greatest example of this is the green-domed Lutheran Cathedral which rises proudly out of the center of Senate Square.
From here the main shopping street of Aleksanterinkatu, affectionately known as Aleksi, runs towards Mannerheimintie and contains the largest department store in Scandanavia, called Stockmann. The up-market boulevard of Esplanadi runs alongside and is packed with exclusive boutiques.
Lovers of Nordic design will be thrilled by the Design Museum and the Ateneum Art Museum. Nature is in abundance on the beautiful archipelago which lies along the coast. A must-see is the Baltic fortress of Suomenlinna, where you just might forget you’re in a big city.

It's very central and close to the sea that was great. The room was tidy and neat but not very cosy and a bit cold (heating restricted). Breakfast was not good much below standard hotel breakfast.

Arrived late Friday, left Sunday evening.
Arrived late Friday, left Sunday evening. More than enough time there (although opinion was a little jaded due to unexpected snow). Little to see in the city centre (covered all the 'sights' in 2-3 hours walk. Ferries weren't working due to technical issues. It's ridiculously expensive which takes the spontaneity out of stopping for a coffee, drink or snack. Some attractions (one of the churches) wanted 8 euro entrance each - just didn't seem worth it. Looked at possible restaurants for dinner - a curry house was charging 25 euro for a basic curry - no sides, rice or extras - just the main dish.
Also, travelling from the UK, I have never been interrogated by passport control as much - wanted to see return flight details, hotel information, know why you were there "as you've left the EU so why do you want to come here" - not the best welcome and definitely started the weekend with a sour taste in our mouths!

Helsinki is a fantastic city that hides well its treasures. Take time to discover it, as well as the surroundings, its subculture, its great specialty and slow food cafes and restaurants, its nature and museums. That does not show immediately but once you start digging, you are up for an exceptional experience

The city is nice, laid-back and full of really nice people. But we faced an unfortunate incident where my wife's purse got picked at Senate Square and the entire cash was gone. I later heard that this is common across Helsinki. One should be extremely careful about personal belongings.

The reason I arrived was a live concert i promised myself to go. The weather was not perfect but it wasn’t bad neither. It’s obvious it’s cold in January in Helsinki.
There are many nice places to eat. Check the port area for some nice bites.
Average clean and amazingly located hotel in the city center of Helsinki. It takes not more than 10 minutes on foot to come from central train station. Staff was helpful, wi-fi worked fine, free coffee and tea in the reception (when it was open - trust me, not always open, even during a daytime). Free shampoo and shower gel bottles in the bathroom, TV inside the room with international channels, also there is an elevator to reach 5th or 6th floor where all rooms are located. Free storage rooms with a lockers for hotels guests.
Hotel Entrance and the Ceiling and decoration in the receptionist area is very chateau style, very beautiful.
Receptionist were very kind, helpful and giving us lots of tip in term of what to see.
Room is a good size and clean and we got it in the very back top level of the building.
Really quite with roof view of the city, I like it.
Breakfast was so delicious and made you full the whole day, plenty of choices.
Location is walking distance - 20 minutes to the Harbor, Esplanade and the City Center.
Lovely hotel with really cool design and art. The rooms were on the smaller size but very cozy and didn’t feel claustrophobic.
The matras and pillows were incredibly comfortable 5 stars for that!
The location is a newer neighborhood without too much to do around the hotel but it’s walking distance to city center and very easy to get everywhere with public transport from the street of the hotel.
The area felt very safe.
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
Tasty breakfast.
the room was superb, breakfast was incredible perfect for my 3 days stay, Even i'm having the same breakfast everyday but it's just too good. walking distance to metro station, we've even tried to walk back from city center to hotel, which is about 20 mins and not too bad. the front view of the lake/river/sea was amazing as it was frozen during my visit - end Feb, early Mar. the elevator was quick and have nice view to the restaurant. had dinner there, all was good.
The breakfast buffet is exceptional, with a huge selection of quality breakfast items, and fresh meals delivered straight from the kitchen (during my stay, omelettes and pancakes). Highly recommend going for the breakfast!
The rooms are fairly basic but very comfortable and well soundproofed from the noise of the hotel and the city. I had a wonderful rest! The location is a very short walk from the city center.
Clean and cozy small studio close to Helsinki city center with easy transport access. All equipment is in the perfect condition and all small things at home (like cutlery or household chemicals) are just where you expect them to be:) Nice neighbors. Food market is just around the corner. Good place to live the real Finnish city life if you want to get something new instead of ordinary and usual hotel experience.
The hotel is very clean, modern and comfortable. The room was well equipped, the bed was very comfortable. We had an amaizing view on Helsinki city center. The location is perfect, aspecially the train station in the same building, so you have an easy connection to the city center, airport, as well as long-distance destinations. The breakfast was excellent.
The hotel offers what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly and helpful. Location is great, as it is located in the city center, right behind the central station and close to all main attractions. You don't hear any noise from the station. The hotel gym is fantastic, too. Breakfast was amazing, it has everything you may want!
There was an up to 2h free parking on the side of the road in front of the hotel, and it was free all night, it saved us. The parkings are not cheap in Helsinki.
24h grocery shop downstairs.
Typical Finnish apartment, soundproof and well ventilated. The third bed is in a little tiny space separated by a sliding door.
Blackout curtains.
The rooms are very nice, very well equipped and look like brand new! You also can use the common kitchen and other areas if you like. The communication is convenient between the airport and the hotel and the city center. I could see myself staying here also for longer period (during a business trip for example).
The breakfast price is reasonable at the hotel. The location is good because we could easily access any important facilities from the location (Embassies, City Center, Airport..). I have stayed for a week, they did try to arrange the booking within a room so that we could have the most space as we could.
The location is good, especially when you are coming to Tallink’s ferry. The tram stop is just in front of the hotel and because of that the city center is quickly accessible. Breakfast was good. Lastly, it was a really nice touch having Ritual products in the room.
Kitchen has everything you need to prepare almost any dish. Also there is a dishwasher. Shower, bed... Everything was great. Recommend
You can easily get to Helsinki City center by bus or train. Bus stop or train station is near the hotel.
Convenient city centre location. Walking distance to train station. Taxi rank and tram in front of the hotel. Restaraunts and park within walking distance. Very well cleaned room. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice little gym.
Great option if you need something on a budget and want to stay close to the city center. You can't expect a five-star hotel, but it's great value in this price category. Highly recommended to stay in this accommodation!
Interesting architecture - converted from old storehouse. Hotel has a good location at the harbour. Good for a visit from Tallinn by Viking Line ship. Near to the city center and sightseeing.
