Lapland Hotels Bulevardi in Helsinki has a bar and on-site dining. The property is located on the boulevard and close to several noted attractions, around a 7-minute walk from Kamppi Shopping Center...

This was hands down the best hotel stay I have ever experienced! From the moment we arrived, the staff at Lapland were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. One of the highlights of our room was the private sauna—it was absolutely amazing and added a unique touch to our relaxation time. I highly recommend booking a room with a sauna for a truly different kind of experience. The food at the hotel restaurant was also a standout. Every meal was delicious, featuring a great variety of flavors that cater to all palates. Whether you’re here for relaxation or adventure, Lapland provides a perfect blend of comfort, quality service, and exceptional amenities. I can’t wait to return!

Hotel Indigo Helsinki-Boulevard, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Helsinki

Located on the historic Bulevardi avenue in trendy Punavuori, this boutique hotel is 1969 feet from Kamppi Metro Station.

We absolutely loved this hotel! It is in a wonderful, easily walkable neighborhood and close to many bars, restaurants, and shops. The room was clean and much larger than most rooms in Europe. The hotel staff went above and beyond to help us. They even knew that our plane left very early and made to-go breakfast bags for us. Whoever is in charge of hiring their front desk staff is doing a great job! We will definitely chose this hotel again when we return to Helsinki.

FAQs about hotels in Helsinki

Nordic Daughter of the Baltic

Scratch beneath the small-town surface of Helsinki and you will find a cosmopolitan metropolis buzzing with a lively attitude and plenty of excitement. The relatively short-lived summer offers the best chance to appreciate the outdoors and sit on one of the popular café terraces, or even hit the Hietaniemi Beach, all of which can be enjoyed during the 20 hours of daylight.

Strolling around the streets of Helsinki will reveal an Empire-style of architecture, comparable to St. Petersburg. The greatest example of this is the green-domed Lutheran Cathedral which rises proudly out of the center of Senate Square.

From here the main shopping street of Aleksanterinkatu, affectionately known as Aleksi, runs towards Mannerheimintie and contains the largest department store in Scandanavia, called Stockmann. The up-market boulevard of Esplanadi runs alongside and is packed with exclusive boutiques.

Lovers of Nordic design will be thrilled by the Design Museum and the Ateneum Art Museum. Nature is in abundance on the beautiful archipelago which lies along the coast. A must-see is the Baltic fortress of Suomenlinna, where you just might forget you’re in a big city.

Whether you head to a sauna or amusement park when you disembark from Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport, with over 65 hotels, apartments and hostels, Booking.com has the perfect place for your Scandinavian stay.

Arrived late Friday, left Sunday evening.

Arrived late Friday, left Sunday evening. More than enough time there (although opinion was a little jaded due to unexpected snow). Little to see in the city centre (covered all the 'sights' in 2-3 hours walk. Ferries weren't working due to technical issues. It's ridiculously expensive which takes the spontaneity out of stopping for a coffee, drink or snack. Some attractions (one of the churches) wanted 8 euro entrance each - just didn't seem worth it. Looked at possible restaurants for dinner - a curry house was charging 25 euro for a basic curry - no sides, rice or extras - just the main dish. Also, travelling from the UK, I have never been interrogated by passport control as much - wanted to see return flight details, hotel information, know why you were there "as you've left the EU so why do you want to come here" - not the best welcome and definitely started the weekend with a sour taste in our mouths!

Average clean and amazingly located hotel in the city center of Helsinki. It takes not more than 10 minutes on foot to come from central train station. Staff was helpful, wi-fi worked fine, free coffee and tea in the reception (when it was open - trust me, not always open, even during a daytime). Free shampoo and shower gel bottles in the bathroom, TV inside the room with international channels, also there is an elevator to reach 5th or 6th floor where all rooms are located. Lovely hotel with really cool design and art. The rooms were on the smaller size but very cozy and didn’t feel claustrophobic. The matras and pillows were incredibly comfortable 5 stars for that! The location is a newer neighborhood without too much to do around the hotel but it’s walking distance to city center and very easy to get everywhere with public transport from the street of the hotel. The area felt very safe. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Tasty breakfast.
