Varzo is a nice small town, with nice town centre up on the hill. San Giorgio church is architecturally interesting. Swiss border is 9 km from Varzo, and Simplon pass 28 km. Interesting town of Domodossola is 15 km south of Varzo. Scenery around Varzo is fantastic; high mountains and deep alpine valleys.

A delightful village, quaint and quiet streets. Excellent restaurants too. It was a beautiful room, new furnishings with exceptional service to make sure we were settled and had a dinner reservation. Very highly recommended

It's close to a skiing resort but for summer walking close to Milan it's hard to beat. Well signposted routes, beautiful scenery and off the beaten track surprisingly so not too many people around.

The village has got a special atmosphere, which invites you to discover it all. The house is to be found in an uphill part of the village (a ’fraz’). You can only come there via a small walking path, ages old. You experience the centuries old way of living in the mountains.
