Beautiful mountain village with little specialty shops and wonderful food. Valtournenche is only 15minutea away from the famous and very busy Cervinia. Better to stay here than in Cervinia. More authentic mountain village.

Valtournenche is a small but cute town.
Valtournenche is a small but cute town. It has a more local feel to it than Cervinia or Zermatt. There are a few good restaurants and there is an excellent local cheese maker selling regional specialties. There is an excellent pizza restaurant in town as well called Biblos. There is a free ski shuttle that picks up in Valtournenche and drives both to the Valtournenche ski lift and the main lifts in Cervinia. I'd recommend having a car to get around. It is about a 15 minute drive to the main lifts in Cervinia. There is a public pool in town that also has a small wellness center with saunas, a whirlpool and a turkish bath.

Valtournanche is a very nice little village.
Valtournanche is a very nice little village. Local food is amazing, especially fontina cheese and moccetta!!! The ski lift right in town is well connected with Cervinia and Zermatt ski resort.
In summer time there are plenty of nice hike trails around, and this is what makes the location the perfect destination either for summer and winter holidays.

The Valtournenche ski area is fairly limited but it links up with Cervinia and Zermatt (need the international lift pass for Zermatt). Plenty of free parking by the Valtournnenche lift although the roads can get busy just after the lift shuts. It is possible to get a ski bus to the Cervinia lifts but we had to wait a while, the journey takes around 20 minutes.

Lovely, small, and unspoilt by the mass of ski tourists further up the valley. Yet only a short drive or bus ride if that's your bag. Some skiing to be had closer, but access to mountain and forest walking trails is where this area excels.

Valtournenche was not that busy this time of the year (April). We were happy about this, as we went to snowboard and the fewer people on the slopes the better, but we were surprised, that quite a few shops were closed. Otherwise lovely village!
About the ski area: Really great, nice slopes, we liked it a lot.
It is also nice that Breuil-Cervinia is within 15 min. drive.
The communication with the owner was prompt and friendly. He readily provided us with all sorts of information and promptly responded to our queries. The accommodation is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the piste, leading to Salette. The walk to Salette itself takes around 10 minutes. Additionally, there is a bakery located almost next to the accommodation, where you can buy fresh bread and pastries every morning.
This is most comfortable, well appointed, modern and clean hotel I've stayed in, in a ski resort. The rooms are large with flat screen TV, nespresso, kettles and plenty of.hanging space. The bathrooms are large with great walk in showers and double sinks. Breakfast is limited but good quality. The lady who runs the Lodge is very pleasant and helpful.
Hotel Bijou was exceptionally clean and the room looked refurbished. The half board is highly recommended and the food was plentiful and authentic and very tasty. Ivo the owner could not do enough for you and he was always available to assist you with a smile with whatever you needed. The shuttle bus was available to transport you to the ski lift.
Sweet little appartement located at 15 minutes by car away from Breuil-Cervina and a few minutes by foot away from Valtournenche which is a nice village, much more interesting that Breuil. The place is well equiped and is nice looking. The owner was very helpful throughout our stay and before, faciliting greatly our arrival. I recommand.
Perhaps the strangest accommodation for quite some time that we've experienced - in a good way. Definitely unique! Nice although small garden. Great breakfast with a lot of cakes and pastries, local dairy goods etc. And well located - 5 min drive to ski lifts.
Awesome breakfast, nice staff, and convenient room to store ski/snowboard gear. The hotel doesn't serve dinner but has a discount relationship with many nearby restaurants- make sure to ask about this. Convenient free parking.
The apartment is really clean, cozy and comfortable. Sara is an amazing host. She is very helpful and nice.
The Sauna is a great option. I really liked the idea.
Not far away from the main ski lift in Valtournenche.
Cozy, family run hotel. Breakfast & dinner - excellent! Good choice of local wines. Both ladies were very friendly and helpful. Excellent spa facility. Ski storage room with warming up device for ski shoes.
The staff was very helpful and made everything smooth. The apartment was very confortable, clean and well furnished. Very close to Valtournenche cable car and close to groceries and shops.
Hotel was really clean , and a beautiful view of mountains through our window and balcony, rooms was cleaned every day, what was very nice to come back to clean rooms after days skiing.
- friendly host replied quickly to anything we needed and easy communication
- great location just 5 minute drive from the Valtournenche ski lift
- beautiful location
- very clean space
The buffet breakfast was good to have and it included cereals, yogurts, cakes, breads, cheese and meats and also boiled eggs.
The hotel and rooms were warm and the WiFi worked well.
Price quality was excellent.! Everything well organized. VERY friendly staff. Shuttle to skilift very convenient and friendly. Family hotel doing there best to make guest happy...
Wonderfully located right next to the piste, with easy access to Cervino/Valtournenche ski areas. Super easy check-in/out process and the room is exactly as pictured!
