A beautiful city in the Alps. There are many sporting possibilities, however it was raining while we were there, so we couldn't experience them. There is a great mining museum nearby, very interesting. The prices are a bit higher than in other parts of Italy.FlóraHungary - 8.0Scored 8.0

Nice small and quiet town, easy to navigate on foot. Lots of restaurants, a few bars, but we didn't mind because we were there with children. The lift to the top of the ski run was enjoyable.
The lift to the top of the ski run was enjoyable. The view from the top is beautiful. We also drove to, then hiked the two lakes. In town we asked several locals about where to find things, everyone was friendly. An especially good place to eat is at the hotel restaurant near the green cross pharmacy. There are prettier towns in the Alps and a bit messy with all the traffic going through the town centre. But it is nice enough to spend a weekend and especially to explore the area. The cycling path that leads to Slovenia and Austria goes through the town which makes it very accessible.

I was there in September...and it was pretty much...death... Was this due to COVID or just because of the period?? I can understand that the ski season must be totally different. But very nice trail, hiking area.

Great little town for short vacation or winter holiday weekend. Ski resort is just enough for a 2-3 day skiing and town has enough to offer with pizzerias, bars, taverns and night clubs. I will come back for sure...

The contact/owner lady is kind, helpful, interested, and cordial. The children really liked the accommodation: a separate living space on the first floor, with a bunk bed... There were gifts prepared for the children (Santa Claus), the kitchen was well equipped, we couldn't find only a cutting board or a meat cleaver. We liked garage where we could leave our skis and change into ski boots. During our stay in Tarviso there were two days where bad weather was expected. It turned out that days were perfect for skiing since there were only a few people on tracks. No wait time on ski lifts. Apartment was fully equipped and very clean.

With luggage, it is necessary to walk from the parking lot up a steep hill, because the hotel is on a slope and the door from the parking lot to the hotel could not be opened. Breakfast was O.K. Our room was clean but small. We slept in better hotels for the same money.
