We stayed at Hotel Gallia for a base for cycling in the area. A garage for storage of bicycles was provided so we didn't have to haul them up to the room. The hotel is right alongside the Stelvio pass road, but the windows and wall provided sufficient sound deadening and it wasn't an issue. The hotel provided excellent breakfast and dinners, a nice perk for this remote location.
Featuring a restaurant and free spa with hot tub, Turkish bath and sauna, family-run Gasthof zur Sonne lies in Stelvio, part of the namesake national park.

I don't write a lot of reviews, but this hotel deserves all the positives I can give it. In retrospect, we wish we had scheduled to stay more than one night. The property and rooms are exceptionally clean and look almost new. The five course dinner (which we didn't know about until we arrived) is phenomenal. So is the breakfast. Conveniently situated on the east side of the Stelvio Pass and is perfect for exploring and hiking. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Facing Mount Ortles and set along the street leading to central Stelvio, family-run Hotel Stilfserhof offers a restaurant, and a free wellness area with sauna, infrared cabin, and Turkish bath.

The hotel has character, the well thought combination of modern and old times give it a special charm. There is a lot of attention to details seen throughout the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, the food was delicious and the stuff is super welcoming, friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back!

Great breakfast, endless options of müsli and cereals as well as good selection of juices, cheese and bread. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Restaurant had great outdoor seating and very good pizzas.
Beautiful traditional family run hotel. Dinner was as good as Michelin star! The menu was typical of the area, plenty choice and the food was presented very well in deed. Great wine list. Breakfast was varied both hot and cold options and again local produce including fresh breads

I came to bicycle the Stelvio. The ride was fantastic.
I came to bicycle the Stelvio. The ride was fantastic. Go early as later on in the day there are a lot of cars and motorcycles all wanting to race up and down. You can still do the ride, but its nicer when you have the quiet and less traffic. I rode up from the Prada side, which is the toughest climb and also less traffic. Coming up the Bormio side is a bit easier ride but this is a huge ski resort and there is a ton of traffic going up for sightseeing.

Location is excellent for Stelvio pass. Family run business where you are treated as friends rather than guests. Food options are B&B or half board. the half board option is a five course home cooked meal prepared but the excellent chef. the accommodation is very clean and upto date. for bikers they offer to dry your gear if needed. there are locked garages for bike but plenty of safe parking on site

The evening set menu meal was fantastic. The breakfast was diverse and plentiful.
The hotel caters for cyclists. It has a storage room for bikes and the wellness area to recover from the rides. It is ideal placed to ride the Stelvio Pass and the hotel staff is prepared and flexible for cyclists. The manager arranged a late breakfast and checkout for us.
Traveling by bike up and over the Stelvio pass, this B&B was one of the options to stay at and I'm happy we did. The dinner and breakfast were excellent, the staff very friendly, and there was a locked area for bicycles including tools and a pump. The views are outstanding (of course).
Micheal the host was fantastic. nothing was too much trouble.
Half board was a 5 course set menu and the food was fantastic.
location at the bottom of Stelvio
motorcycle parking on site
great beer. I could go on & on!
Fabulous location with great view over the mountains, big and clean room, very comfortable bed, excellent breakfast and dinner is a must! Super friendly and helpful staff! I definitely recommend this hotel!
We are really impressed of hospitality that we've experienced at Hotel Sonne. The place, the surroundings, the landscapes as well as the gourmet and service were great. Thank you and hopefully see you soon!
Nice appartment with all facilities one can think about. Bonus is the small garden facing south ! Very close to the road going from Prad to Stelvio pass but far enough to not be disturbed by traffic noise.
Breakfast was good, the home made bread was really nice! also Michael was a very helpful and good host!
every time we travel to italy we are booking at hotel Traube, we would reccomend this hotel.
Nice hotel along the road, and really good restaurant with a fair price. Free parking, obliging staff - perfectly suitable for a one night stay to/from the Stelvio pass.
The staff was exceptional. The hotel is on the right warm legs/engine distance from the beginning of the Stelvio pass. Great view. Great village full of nice people.
