It was an amazing experience. We did not realize that we could not go up with the car (you need 4x4 SUV/Jeep). we got picked up by the owner. Enjoyed the amazing views the way up. Once at the refuge you have a great view from the restaurant over Sestriere. The room was fabulous. The food great. Local products. So happy we got to this nice place and meet nice people.

The apartment was very close to the slopes and not far from the centre. The communication was prompt and helpful once we contacted them.

Great slopes for beginners so suited our family group.
Great slopes for beginners so suited our family group. Not all the lifts or pistes were open, and it was the same when we were there in January. This was disappointing as there was plenty of snow for our Easter break.

Lovely resort. Quiet when we stayed.
Lovely resort. Quiet when we stayed. Le Lei and Baby are great restaurants in town. Best restaurant in town is found through entering building where Farmacia Jayme is - walk into building, past the pharmacy entrance on right, and it is at the end of the corridor on your left (past a little toy shop). Great food, fantastic staff.
Sestriere is small and easy to get around. Good Carrefour supermarket on main strip.

The French side of the Vialattea ski area is much more better.
Snow situation was very bad, but the snow cannons were not used.
Town was very quiet in the evenings.
The restaurants in the slopes were quite messy and poor quality in food and price comparison to other Italian ski resorts and Austria.

Sestriere is a very small but cute town.
Sestriere is a very small but cute town. Access to the pistes is easy and there are a lot of facilities for renting equipement, cafes, etc.
We had a hard time looking for restaurants for dinner, as every single one was fully booked.
An excellent position for those who want to explore France and Italy. Breakfast had a good selection of savoury and sweet food to meet everybody's tastes. The evening meal was made up of four courses with excellent appetizers in particular and a traditional menu on Saturday for guests to try the local food which was delicious. The hotel also caters for guests with particular dietry requests. The staff were all very welcoming and attentive. The rooms were comfortable and clean.
A nice private apartment, suitable for a family of 4. Well equipped with all the necessary stuff, kitchenware, bed linen and towels were provided. Large living room with a convertible sofa and a bedroom of a decent size with some place to work, if you need it.
Private parking in a closed garage on the ground floor. Elevator right from the parking place up to the apartment door, very practical for hauling luggage.
The host was very friendly and helpful.
The stuff is very friendly and helpful. I want to say "thank you" to Marco for the great help with the every question and especially with my luggage. Breakfast is excellent. Hotel location - Ski in /Out which is great.
Ski Room - free of charge
It is not advantage or disadvantage for me, but you have to know that you have to use the shuttle service (service ends at 19:00) if you want to go to the City (or walk more than kilometer, or use taxi)
Breakfast was more than plentiful, if anything there was too much, stuck to scrambled egg & toast all week. Transfer driver was very professional. Hotel décor is Alpine classical, wooden lodge, superb views from rooms regardless of position. Hotel staff (not spa) where attentive. Ski lockers provision very useful. Location is secluded, with a 20 minute uphill trek after 7pm at night, work of the evenings calorie intake.
Location was fine but a bit far to walk with skis, boots etc. There was not a clear outline of the shuttle bus service to the lift and the hotel staff could not offer much assistance.
Breakfast was ju7yst fine and what I expected. Would have been great if there was an option for warm/hot foods like an egg omelet or warm meats like beacon or sausage.
Nice to have the bar area and ability to get a drink.
wife & I went with 2 teenage grandkids. had a 2 bedroom 2 bath apt well laid out, clean. only property in Sestrière within 50 yards of the slopes with no steps in between. restaurant good value , cafeteria style with good selection (& better than food on the slopes - meaning we came back here to lunch). wife, non skier, delighted in using the spa. there is a pool but we didn’t use
Lovely breakfast buffet with all you could want, plus they will cook you eggs/omelette and bacon to order every morning. My kids loved the pancakes/waffles with chocolate spread on tap!!
Nice little bar to have something in the evening. The hotel has an arrangement with the restaurant beside offering 10% discount for hotel guests; food and service here are excellent.
Hotel is ideally located for the ski lifts. 5min walk to the main street. Breakfast at the hotel was much better than I had expected; full continental breakfast plus cooked food if requested, pastries, fruit etc. Room was basic, but cleaned daily and plenty of space for what we needed. I'd definitely go again. And very reasonably priced at short notice.
Nice apartment with Mountain View. Very close to the slopes and the ski school. Had a locker for the skis and boots and covered parking garage. Basic accommodation but clean and comfortable and good value for money. We had no issues and loved our stay! Bonus is it included use of the hotel swimming pool which the kids loved
The hotel is right in front of ski lift, ski rental, restaurant, and grocery store. Although the building itself is old the interiors are well maintained. Most importantly the staffs are friendly and always eager to help. Definitely worth the price.
Everyone in the hotel was nice and helpful. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The shuttle from the hotel to the slope was a great plus. In general, we really liked the stay in Gran Roc and would decide to come again.
The hotel has a contemporary yet cozy atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is to a good standard. It is very clean and comfortable.
