Sesto is small, but has several markets and restaurants.

Sesto is small, but has several markets and restaurants. There are several lifts nearby (one in town) that will take one up to beautiful views, kid friendly play areas and extensive walking/hiking trails. A car isn’t necessary, but highly recommended, as Sesto is 6-7 km from the train station and getting further afield is much more convenient with a car than by using buses/shuttles. Several of the most popular areas to visit have restricted access and it is best to check restrictions, book early (if possible), and get to the trailhead/parking lot/etc. early. We were there during early July. Low season and ski season are probably different in interesting ways.

The apartment has its own parking lot. The ski gondola is 5 minutes away by car. The apartment is spacious enough. The apartment has bed linen and towels. A 5-minute walk to the store-Spar. We ate at the restaurant at the top of the gondola.

Its ok if you just need a place to crash in between a long trip... But nothing more. The hotel is literally a parking lot on steroids. But still, a freaking parking lot for caravans. The food was really bad and worst the waiters. If you book the room with the dinner included you just lost yourself 35bucks. Over all the spa was good enough. Some of the treatments were closed due to issues with the corona virus. But in general well designed and relaxing. Of course there were little or no people because of the virus fear. which make it all better for us as we had the pool for ourself.

We went for the mountains and they didn’t disappoint us. To get to the highest peaks requires some stamina and some technique (via feratta). The flowers in July are superb. There are many mountain biking routes in the area but we didn’t partake.

Go to Sesto! Picturesque beauty in every direction.

Go to Sesto! Picturesque beauty in every direction. Accommodations and great restaurants are abundant and so many trails. A quick trip to Austria is just an hour or two away. True, the locals are not as warm and fuzzy as those effusive Italians we met in Pisa, Florence, Arezzo, or Piesa de Preciano (5 new FB friends!!!!) but you just can't beat the Dolomiti for sheer beauty! And it's COOLER.

The team at Hotel Monika, including the owner, really went the extra mile to make sure we felt comfortable and made our stay really special. We were impressed by the attention to detail with everything, be it little surprises throughout the stay, the facilities that were very well thought through or the variety of food on the menu as well as on the buffets. Everything was perfect. Special thanks to Elisa and Andrea who looked after us mostly during our stay :)

The hotel appeared to be recently renovated. The room was really practical and had an amazing wooden chalet feel. It was so cozy, the view was amazing and the location of the guest house was extremely practical. We loved everything and we really want to go back next year. The owners are a lovely family, you could also get some fresh produce from their organic farm at the hotel (fresh eggs, flour, jams, fermented beet preserves etc).

The view from the room and deck couldn’t be improved. The breakfast was extensive and varied from day to day, with the basics always available. The grounds were pristine and the rooms sleek. The kitchen had all the necessaries. We were told the hotel was “short handed,” but we would have never known. Sesto/Sexten was a short, pleasant (by the back trail) walk and had everything we needed.

installation is new and very beautiful, an invitation to relax. Hotel is quiet, rooms are large and extremely clean. All meals int the restaurant were amazing, nice to have your table reserved with your family name, we felt like a special guest. Swimming pool has a gorgeous view and I really recommend a massage in the spa with a tea after.

Staff were extra helpful when asked for directions on the bus line and shuttle. I highly recommend staying here, the views and location are unbeatable

Very nice and clean apartment. Location was great and if there was a bit more snow we could have skied to and from the ski lift. Even with the lack of snow the ski lift was very close and accessible. We did not have breakfast provided by the hotel but the kitchen was very well equipped. The apartment also had a beautiful view.

A very good location for the price. Includes kitchen, which is very valuable. Has a nice balcony with chairs to sit and enjoy the amazing view on the dolomites. Positioned well for hiking and conferences in Sexten itself. Get a free bus ticket to reach local hiking spots. Very good breakfast (but we had to pay extra for it).

Spacious and clean rooms. The breakfast was very nice. The selection is not overwhelmingly big but the quality of the food that is provided is really great. Also, there are variations every day. The location of the hotel is also very good as a public bus can take you to every ski lift in the area.
